Wednesday, October 7, 2026, has scheduled releases ranging from mortgage applications and an oil report to Federal Reserve minutes. All times below are Eastern Time. The Federal Reserve and New York Fed calendars confirm their own listed releases; the mortgage-application and weekly oil-report times come from Econoday and were not independently confirmed on the issuing agencies’ calendars.

What the FOMC minutes cover
The 2:00 p.m. release is the record of the Federal Open Market Committee meeting held September 15–16, not a new October policy decision. The Federal Reserve says minutes of regularly scheduled meetings are generally published three weeks after the policy decision; the Board’s calendar gives the specific October 7 release time. Do not confuse the weekly oil report with EIA’s outlook
The 10:30 a.m. calendar entry is the weekly Petroleum Status Report, attributed to Econoday. EIA separately scheduled its October Short-Term Energy Outlook for October 6. That monthly outlook is a different publication, not the October 7 weekly report. EIA Short-Term Energy Outlook schedule
How to use this schedule
- For the FOMC minutes and Federal Reserve statistical releases, use the Federal Reserve’s calendar as the primary schedule. The New York Fed calendar is the primary schedule for its consumer expectations survey.
- Treat the 7:00 a.m. MBA and 10:30 a.m. EIA entries as calendar-provider listings, rather than independently agency-confirmed times; check the relevant organization’s schedule for updates.
- These are scheduled publication times, not forecasts or reported results. No October 7 outcomes or consensus estimates are established here.
Calendar listings can change. The Federal Reserve’s ALFRED schedule also cautions that a source’s stated release date may not match the time information becomes available on its site. ALFRED release calendar
