What did the lawsuit allege?
Plaintiffs alleged that defendants conspired to fix, raise, maintain, and stabilize U.S. broiler chicken prices beginning at least January 1, 2008. They also alleged coordinated limits on supply, sharing of competitively sensitive pricing and production information, and other conduct intended to increase broiler prices. These are the plaintiffs’ claims as described by the official settlement website, not findings established by the settlements.
Did Tyson admit to price fixing?
The settlement materials say defendants denied violating the law and denied causing damages. The settlements resolved claims; they should not be described as an admission of price fixing or as a court finding that Tyson broke the law. The official settlement website sets out both the allegations and defendants’ denials.

It also states that some people who already filed and received an earlier distribution could be eligible for a later distribution without filing another claim. Those are historical notices, not confirmation of current eligibility or payment availability.
For a current answer, check the official settlement website and the latest court docket or contact the case administrator. Do not assume that a past claim deadline has reopened or that a later payment is available.
