Two Western Australian ticket-holders were among seven national Division One winners in Saturday Lotto draw #4627, held on the night Australia won the first Ashes Test in Perth. Each winner received a reported $921,766.49—the source of the rounded “$921k” headline. The cricket result and lottery draw coincided; there is no evidence that one caused or influenced the other.
How much did the two WA Saturday Lotto winners get?
PerthNow reported that the draw’s $6 million Division One jackpot was split among seven winners across Australia. Each share was $921,766.49, including the two tickets sold in WA. PerthNow’s 22 November 2025 report gave the draw result and exact individual prize.
Where were the winning WA tickets sold?
A follow-up report named Thornlie Square Newspower and Miami Newsagency in Falcon as the retailers that sold the two WA winning tickets. The report did not identify the winners, so the retailer locations do not establish who bought or held either ticket. PerthNow’s 24 November 2025 follow-up supplied the outlet names.
What were the winning numbers?
The reported main numbers for Saturday Lotto draw #4627 were 7, 31, 15, 39, 42 and 12. The supplementary numbers were 5 and 8. These are the results reported for this specific draw, not numbers linked to an Ashes promotion.

What does the Ashes connection mean?
Australia’s first-Test win in Perth made the draw night a memorable coincidence. It does not show that the cricket result affected the draw, that the winning numbers had special predictive value, or that the same outcome can be reproduced. The reports connect the events by timing only.
Other WA lottery figures reported at the time
In the follow-up, PerthNow attributed to Lotterywest spokesperson Jake Battrick the statement that WA had recorded 53 Saturday Lotto wins in 2025, with more than $69 million in prizes shared. Those are figures quoted by the newspaper from a spokesperson, rather than figures independently confirmed here against an operator draw-results record.
