The unusual collectible included a handwritten message and cross, according to PerthNow’s 30 July 2024 report.
What Travis Barker reportedly auctioned
PerthNow reported that the item was a Qantas business-class boarding pass for a flight from Sydney (SYD) to Perth (PER), dated 7 February. The report said the pass came from Barker’s recent Australian tour.
PerthNow described the pass as framed and accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity. It quoted the Trophy listing calling the item “a true one of a kind item for the ultimate Travis Barker collector” and describing it as a rare commercial boarding pass with an original handwritten note and cross drawing. Those listing details are reported by PerthNow; the original Trophy page could not be independently checked.
What message was on the pass?
The handwritten message reported by PerthNow read: “I know I got angels watching over me…” The pass also bore a cross.

PerthNow connected the message to Barker’s 2008 plane crash, which killed four of his friends. The article said Barker had not flown for more than 13 years after the crash and presented his return to flying as part of the item’s significance. The longer-than-13-years phrasing also appeared in listing copy quoted by PerthNow.
How much did it sell for?
PerthNow said the pass was released for roughly US$8,000 (A$12,547). The article did not explain how or when it converted the currencies, so the amount is best understood as a historical figure reported at publication, not a current valuation of similar memorabilia.

What is confirmed about the auction?
The account comes from Zach Margolius’s PerthNow report, published on 30 July 2024. PerthNow named Trophy as the platform and relayed details from its listing, but the linked listing could not be opened because the web cache returned a miss. The buyer, exact transaction mechanics and current listing status therefore remain unverified.
PerthNow also mentioned a drum set from Blink-182’s “Edging” video, filmed in 2022, as another Trophy listing; its value had not been revealed when the article was published. That separate listing does not establish a comparison price for Barker’s boarding pass.
