The TPSC Food Safety Officer recruitment announced in 2024 is not open. The commission cancelled Advertisement No. 06/2024 on August 16, 2024, two days after the planned application window began. The cancellation followed the Tripura Health and Family Welfare Department’s move to amend the recruitment rules to align them with FSSAI regulations dated October 12, 2022.
What happened to TPSC Advertisement No. 06/2024?
The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) had announced 15 Food Safety Officer posts in the Health and Family Welfare Department. Applications were planned to run from August 14 to September 18, 2024, closing at 5:30 PM. On August 16, 2024, TPSC cancelled the recruitment process.
A contemporaneous Tripura Star News report said the cancellation followed a department letter dated August 13, 2024, initiating amendments to the Food Safety Officer recruitment rules for conformity with FSSAI regulations dated October 12, 2022. The 2024 application dates and vacancy details below are therefore historical details from the cancelled advertisement, not an invitation to apply.

Advertisement No. 06/2024 announced 15 Group B Gazetted Food Safety Officer posts for bonafide citizens of India. The advertised category allocation was 8 UR, 3 SC and 4 ST vacancies. These were announced vacancies; they do not establish that the posts were filled.

Application schedule and method
The notice set an online application window from August 14 through September 18, 2024, with a 5:30 PM closing time. It instructed applicants to register through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) and then apply using the OTPR User ID generated by that process. This application window is over, and the advertisement was cancelled.
Age and educational qualifications

Fee and selection stages
The cancelled notice listed an application fee of Rs. 350 for general-category candidates and Rs. 250 for SC, ST, BPL card holders and PwD candidates. It described selection as a written examination followed by an interview/personality test. Neither the fee nor the selection stages should be assumed to apply to a later advertisement.
