Is Tottenham for sale?
Tottenham Hotspur’s board said on 7 September 2025 that ENIC had received and rejected preliminary expressions of interest from PCP International Finance and a consortium led by Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng through Firehawk Holdings. The club said it was not for sale and ENIC had no intention of accepting an offer to acquire its interest in the club. Tottenham’s statement described those approaches as preliminary, not completed transactions.
A separate regulatory notice on 26 September 2025 disclosed an informal expression of interest from a consortium led by Brooklyn Earick. It was not a firm intention to make an offer, and the notice said there could be no certainty that a firm offer would follow. The FCA-hosted announcement therefore records an expression of interest, not an agreed sale.
What does the £750m figure refer to?
A 16 September 2026 report by Sam Wallace for The Telegraph, republished by Yahoo News Malaysia, said Eight Sports had explored a £750m loan to buy Levy’s ENIC shares. The same report said the proposed transaction had not taken place. The figure is reported financing for a proposed stake purchase; it is not evidence that Tottenham’s whole-club takeover valuation was reduced by £750m. The report does not establish a completed deal or an agreed valuation for the club.

The £100m and £120m figures come from reports published on different dates; they should not be presented as the same injection. The later report gives its own account of investment over 12 months.

Has Daniel Levy sold his ENIC stake?
The available reporting does not establish that Levy sold his ENIC stake. The 16 September 2026 report said the proposed financing and purchase had not gone ahead. On 12 August 2026, The Independent reported a £100m Lewis-family capital injection and quoted an ENIC spokesperson saying neither ENIC nor the club was aware of a sale by Levy’s family trust. That statement was reported at the time; it is not proof of the status of any later transaction.
A proposed loan, an expression of interest, an agreed sale and a completed transfer of shares are distinct stages. The reports cited here describe financing being explored and earlier approaches, but do not document a completed transfer of Levy’s stake.

Who are the Qatari investors interested in Tottenham?
In February 2025, The Guardian reported outside takeover interest and said Rothschild was advising on investment talks. It described the reported Qatari interest as coming from private individuals whose identities were unclear, and explicitly distinguished them from QSI and Sheikh Jassim. The report said no prospective buyer had met the £3.75bn valuation it cited at that time. Those details are historical reporting from 12 February 2025, not confirmation of a formal QSI bid or a current offer.
