CES 2025: strongest fit for the technology ecosystem
CES took place in Las Vegas from January 7–10, 2025. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which owns and produces the event, reported that it welcomed over 141,000 attendees from around the globe, featured more than 4,500 exhibitors—including 1,400 startups—and offered more than 300 conference sessions. These are organizer-reported figures, not independently audited comparisons with the other events. CTA’s CES 2025 recap describes coverage across areas including artificial intelligence, digital health, vehicle technology, and advanced mobility.
That breadth makes CES a plausible choice for professionals interested in product launches, technology suppliers, startups, or networking across the technology sector. CTA CEO and Vice Chair Gary Shapiro characterized the show as bringing together “the entire tech ecosystem,” from large companies to startups. SXSW Expo 2025: cross-industry discovery in Austin
The SXSW Expo ran March 9–12, 2025, in Austin. SXSW described it as bringing together exhibitors from across the globe and spanning technology, design, social good, entertainment, health, and wellness. That mix may have suited attendees looking to explore connections among creative industries, technology, and social or health topics. SXSW’s exhibitions page describes the Expo specifically; it should not be treated as a description of every part of SXSW Conference & Festivals.
Access rules also applied specifically to the Expo: SXSW listed access for badgeholders and public access for Austin Industry Day on March 12. The cited event page does not provide an independently audited attendance figure.
