No chart provider, chart date, title or season ranked, previous position, or measurement method is identified. Treat the ranking and the alleged rebound as unconfirmed—not as a verified streaming milestone.
What the chart claim does—and does not—establish
A ranking is meaningful only when readers can identify the chart and what it measures. “No. 8” could refer to a platform-specific list, a third-party aggregator, a particular season, or a series-level ranking. Without the chart owner, the period measured, and the ranked title, those possibilities cannot be distinguished. The available evidence does not establish that the show fell off a chart and returned days later.

- Chart provider: not identified.
- Chart date and measurement window: not identified.
- Ranked title or season: not identified.
- Earlier chart status: not documented.
- Ten-part count and Tom Ellis’s role: not confirmed by the official pages available for this report.
There is also no sourced audience figure or evidence that the claim comes from Nielsen. A chart position should not be presented as a measure of total viewers unless the chart owner explains its methodology and the data support that interpretation.
What is confirmed about the FBI franchise
CBS describes FBI as a drama focused on the Bureau and its unit. Its official series page provides franchise and episode information, but does not verify the alleged No. 8 movement or the details of the offshoot described in the headline.

In a September 30, 2021 announcement, Paramount said the first three seasons of FBI would be available to U.S. Paramount+ subscribers beginning October 1, 2021. That is a historical licensing announcement about FBI; it does not establish where the offshoot can be streamed now. See Paramount’s announcement for the original terms.
Do not confuse FBI Season 8 listings with the offshoot
A JustWatch page checked October 3, 2026 lists streaming and purchase options for FBI Season 8. That listing concerns the parent series and that season—not the offshoot—and cannot confirm the offshoot’s current U.S. availability. The page is useful only for that narrower distinction: JustWatch’s FBI Season 8 listing.

Streaming catalogs change by territory and date. A historical rights deal, a current listing for a different season, or a franchise relationship does not by itself show that a particular title is available on a service today.

Before treating a “No. 8” headline as a confirmed comeback, check the underlying chart record and its scope. A credible report should let readers answer each of these questions:
Rank #3
- Factory sealed DVD
- Which chart published the rank? Find the chart owner’s original page or dated post, rather than relying on a headline that omits attribution.
- What exactly ranked? Confirm whether the entry is the full series, a season, or an individual episode, and verify the title spelling.
- Where and when was it measured? Identify the country, chart date, and measurement window. A U.S. chart cannot be generalized to other regions.
- What does the chart count? Check which services are included and whether the ranking reflects viewing, popularity signals, searches, or another measure.
- Is the earlier absence documented? To substantiate a return “days after falling off,” compare dated records from the same chart using the same title and methodology.
If any of those details are missing, the defensible wording is that the ranking claim is unconfirmed. Do not infer a rebound from a chart position without a verifiable earlier record.

The confirmed background is limited: FBI is a CBS drama, Paramount announced U.S. streaming rights for its first three seasons in 2021, and a third-party page checked in October 2026 lists options for FBI Season 8. None of those facts validates the claimed No. 8 chart movement, the “days after” timeline, the ten-part count, or current U.S. availability for the offshoot.

Until a dated chart source identifies the ranking and its methodology, the headline’s central claim should be treated as unverified rather than reported as fact.
