What the 750-post announcement covered
Scroll reported on June 13, 2023 that the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) was accepting applications for 750 posts. The reported breakdown was:

These vacancy figures belong to that announcement; they do not establish vacancies in a later recruitment cycle. The report listed June 30, 2023 as the application deadline and said the written exam was expected in August 2023, with its exact date yet to be announced at the time. Scroll’s June 13, 2023 report
How applications were submitted in the 2023 cycle
The 2023 report described an online application process. These are historical steps, not instructions to submit an application now; follow the notice for the specific cycle you intend to apply for.
- Visit the TNUSRB website and select “Online Application.”
- Register, then complete the application form with the requested details.
- Pay the applicable examination fee and submit the form.
- Keep a printout of the submitted application for reference.
The 2025 SI notification also describes online applications through TNUSRB and includes cycle-specific application and correction instructions. Its requirements, dates and fees should not be applied to another cycle without checking that cycle’s notice.
Historical application fees
Scroll’s account of the 2023 recruitment gave an examination fee of ₹500 for an Open or Departmental quota application. It reported ₹1,000 for departmental applicants choosing both Open and Departmental quotas. These are figures reported for the 2023 cycle, not current fee guidance. Scroll, June 13, 2023

The TNUSRB application portal provides a sign-in and application entry point, but its existence alone does not establish an open SI recruitment window. Before applying, locate the current official recruitment notice and verify the post category, vacancies, eligibility, deadline, fee and exam schedule against it. The available information here does not verify a post-2025 application window or its terms.
