What was the TNPSC CTSE 2024 notification?
Notification No. 11/2024, published on 13 August 2024, invited online applications for direct recruitment through the Combined Technical Services Examination (Diploma / ITI Level). It listed 861 tentative vacancies across posts. TNPSC cautioned that vacancy numbers were tentative and could be modified before results. See the official notification for the post-wise details.
Are applications still open, and what were the dates?
No. The application window and correction period have passed, and Paper I was held in November 2024. TNPSC’s dashboard lists later recruitment activity, including publication-list and certificate-verification or counselling entries through 2025.

How did the 2024 application process work?
The following describes the closed 2024 process, not a route to apply now. Candidates were instructed to apply through the TNPSC examinations website. New applicants had to complete One Time Registration before filling out the examination application; candidates who had already registered could proceed to the exam application. Applicants had to select posts and prescribed subject papers that matched their qualifications. The notice gave the process and instructions; completing One Time Registration did not itself constitute an examination application.
Who was eligible?
Eligibility depended on the specific post. The notification set a minimum age of 18 for most posts and 21 for Motor Vehicle Inspector, Grade II. Maximum age limits and concessions varied by post and category. Candidates needed to meet the relevant educational, technical and experience requirements as of the notification date and provide the documents specified for their post and category.
A Diploma or ITI certificate alone did not establish eligibility for every vacancy. Anyone reviewing the notice should check the particular post’s qualification and experience requirements, age rule, vacancy and category details, and required subject paper in the official notification.

Paper I combined the Tamil Eligibility Test, General Studies, and the Aptitude and Mental Ability Test. Paper II consisted of technical subject or trade papers. The notification listed subjects and trades including agriculture, architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical, printing, stenography, boiler attendant, electrician, fitter, surveyor and welding. Paper I was scheduled for 9 November 2024; Paper II dates and times were to be communicated on the Commission’s website.
