The official materials cited here do not establish 654 as the vacancy count for any one specific 2024 CTS notification. The revised planner instead lists 105 interview-post vacancies, 605 non-interview-post vacancies and 730 Diploma/ITI vacancies, all subject to modification. Treat “654 posts” as an unverified headline figure unless a specific official notice supports it.

Application process in Notification 9/2024
For the non-interview recruitment, candidates applied through TNPSC’s online system. Applicants first needed One Time Registration, then had to complete the examination application; candidates who already had a registration could proceed to the application. TNPSC instructed applicants to select a Paper II subject that matched their educational qualification. Papers and subject eligibility
The planner describes two papers for the CTS tracks. Broadly, the examination includes a Tamil Eligibility Test, General Studies and Aptitude/Mental Ability components, plus a technical subject paper. The scoring or qualifying status and level of material differ by track, so details from one CTS examination should not be assumed to apply to another. Notification 9/2024 offered Paper II subjects including agriculture, architecture, engineering disciplines, computer application/science, chemistry, statistics and other degree-level subjects. Candidates were to choose a subject for which they held the relevant qualification or equivalent. Use the specific notification and syllabus for the applicable track.
