The notification listed 330 vacancies across 32 post entries. TNPSC explicitly described the total as tentative and liable to modification before publication of written-exam results. The vacancy table also notes that vacancies for Veterinary Assistant Surgeon would be announced later, so the individual post figures should not be treated as equally final. #1 Best Overall
The roles span distinct fields, including legal work, statistics and research, mining and environmental management, town planning, engineering project management, veterinary services, reporting, accounts, psychology, sociology, entomology, traditional architecture and sculpture, and assistant management. The required qualifications and duties differ by post; the 330 total does not mean every candidate was eligible for every role.
Eligibility depended on the post
All applicants had to have completed age 21. The maximum age and applicable concessions varied by post and category, with age assessed as of 1 July 2025. Education, technical qualifications and experience were specified in the individual post requirements and had to be held by the notification date.
Applicants also had to select only subject papers for which they held the relevant educational or equivalent qualification. To assess a particular role, check its post code, department, category and reservation allocation, qualification and experience requirements, age rules, subject paper, tentative vacancies and pay level in the notification tables.
How the 2025 application worked
Applications were accepted online through the Commission’s application site. Applicants used One Time Registration (OTR) first, unless already registered, and then submitted the examination application. The correction facility was available only from 15 to 17 June 2025.

The notice set an examination fee of ₹200, unless an exemption applied, plus ₹200 for each additional subject paper selected. It listed net banking, credit card, debit card and UPI as online payment methods. These were the terms for this closed 2025 notification, not a current fee or application offer.

Selection comprised a written examination and an interview, with online certificate verification before physical certificate verification and interview. For most posts, Paper I included a Tamil Eligibility Test, General Studies, and Aptitude and Mental Ability; Paper II was a subject paper chosen according to the post and the candidate’s qualification. Paper II standards varied for some post types, so the relevant post’s examination scheme in the notice governs.
Rank #4
Under the stated scheme, the interview carried 60 marks and the grand total was 510. Written-exam and interview marks contributed to final ranking, subject to reservation rules. Candidates had to appear in Paper I, Paper II and the interview to be considered.
