PerthNow described the offer on June 10, 2021, but also questioned whether the jeans were genuinely for sale. The story is historical, not confirmation of a current product listing or shopping opportunity.
What were the “wet pants” jeans?
Wet Pants Denim marketed novelty denim intended to make the wearer look as though they had wet themselves. The look came from a deliberately applied stain effect, rather than an accidental mark.
PerthNow quoted the company website describing the work this way: “Every pair is individually prepared by hand, ensuring the utmost attention to detail and enabling a fully custom design of the splash pattern.” FemaleFirst likewise reported that each pair was individually procured and hand-dyed. Those are company-attributed descriptions, not independently documented manufacturing specifications.
What did the reported 2021 offer include?
PerthNow listed three styles, in blue, grey, and white, at a reported price of $75. It also described a $30 service to apply the look to a customer’s own jeans, but said the service was suspended at the time “in light of the global pandemic.” The report said international orders were not accepted.

The reports do not establish comparable details for fit, fabric, sizing, care, or durability, so there is no reliable basis for comparing the three styles beyond the options listed above.
Was the product real, and could you buy it?
The evidence supports a narrow answer: at least one pair existed historically, but current stock and the full advertised sales operation are not established. In a May 21, 2019 feature, MEL Magazine’s writer said the company sent them a pair after they requested one. That firsthand account predates the 2021 report and does not show that the jeans remain available today.

PerthNow itself cautioned that it was unclear whether the products were really being sold. The 2021 article therefore documents a reported offer, not a verified, active store. Neither it nor the 2019 account establishes present-day inventory, shipping terms, or a current price.

The concept was intentionally provocative novelty fashion. The company website, as quoted by PerthNow, said: “Here at Wet Pants Denim, we’re delivering an identical style without the need to feel uncomfortable.” The line framed the stained look as a way to wear the visual joke without an actual mishap.

PerthNow also mentioned branded “Dad hats” and a payment option called “PissCoin,” which the company described as a code-based way to pay for jeans. The report does not establish the token’s technical or financial status, and those details do not verify that purchases could be completed.
