How much do WNBA players make in 2026?
The WNBA and WNBPA signed the long-form 2026 collective bargaining agreement on May 22, 2026, after players ratified it March 23 and the WNBA Board of Governors ratified it March 24. The league’s announcement sets out these 2026 figures:

The league also projects more than $1 billion in player salaries and benefits across the seven-year agreement. The $1.4 million top tier in the ranking matches the CBA’s 2026 maximum salary.

Season salary is different from contract value
A salary ranking answers how much a player is reported to earn in a particular season. It should not be mixed with the full value of a multi-year deal or its average annual value. Sporting News reports Aliyah Boston’s four-year extension at $6.3 million and her 2026 salary at $1 million; it reports Wilson’s three-year agreement at $5 million, her 2026 salary at $1.4 million, and an average annual value of $1.67 million. Those measures describe different things, so a contract total or average does not change a player’s place in a single-season salary ranking.
See Daniel Mader’s Sporting News report on the highest-paid WNBA players for its separate coverage of contract figures and its top-tier comparison.
Rank #3
- Wilson WNBA All Team Basketball - Size 6 - 28.5"
- PERFORMANCE COVER: Outdoor cover designed for grip on rough surfaces
- AIR RETENTION: Inflation retention lining creates longer-lasting air retention
- MATCHING LOGO & COLORS: Matching Wilson logo and team colors, featuring logos from all 12 WNBA teams
- INTERMEDIATE SIZE: This 28.5" basketball is the perfect size to honor all WNBA teams
What this ranking does—and does not—measure
The list compares reported 2026 WNBA season salaries. It does not establish which players earn the most when endorsements are added: the cited sources do not provide a complete, consistently measured 2026 endorsement-inclusive total. It is also not a ranking of career earnings or total contract value. Treat the player-by-player amounts as reported salary figures from the cited database and coverage, rather than a canonical list published by the league.
