Two publishers report different leaders for the same season, and neither source settles the question on its own. This article does not pick one over the other.

SalaryLeaks: Joe Bryan at an estimated £32,500 a week
SalaryLeaks names Joe Bryan for the same season at £32,500 a week. The same publisher lists Bryan again as the top earner for 2025/26, at an estimated £35,000 a week.
Seasons with no reported leader
Three seasons in the window have no top earner that either publisher attributes to Millwall:

These gaps mean the list cannot yet be read as a complete run of ten answers. Filling them with a guessed name would present an inference as a reported fact.
How much weight the weekly figures can bear
SalaryLeaks describes its own method plainly. In its words, “As comprehensive salary data for EFL Championship is rarely published, many figures represent informed estimates based on available reporting and club wage bill information.” That statement is attributed to the publisher, not to a named individual, and it explains why the numbers should be read as estimates.

Several points follow for anyone comparing figures:
- Different publishers do not necessarily use the same definitions. A weekly figure on one site may not measure the same thing as a figure on another, so a comparison should match the named player, the amount, the update date and the stated method before drawing a conclusion.
- Figures can change. SalaryLeaks gives an update date for its 2025/26 entry, and any estimate tied to a page date should be read as current only as of that date.
- Bonuses and other payments are not clearly separated here. The sources reviewed report a weekly amount, and neither makes clear how the figure treats add-ons, image rights or other side income.
What would settle the open seasons
Closing the three empty seasons and the 2024/25 dispute would need either an official club statement or a reporting source that names the player and amount for the specific season. Until one of those exists, the entries above are the most defensible reading of what has been published.
