Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is the highest-grossing concert tour identified in the available records. Guinness World Records lists its gross at $2,077,618,725, while Pollstar estimated approximately $2.2 billion for the same 149-show run, as reported by The Associated Press. Those are separate figures from different sources, not interchangeable totals.
Which concert tour is the highest-grossing of all time?
The Eras Tour holds the all-time gross record cited by Guinness World Records and Pollstar. Guinness attributes its figure to Billboard Boxscore reporting; Pollstar’s estimate was reported by the Associated Press in December 2024.
| Source and reporting | Reported Eras Tour gross | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| Guinness World Records, 2024 | $2,077,618,725 | Guinness-recorded total attributed to Billboard Boxscore; 149 shows from March 17, 2023, through December 8, 2024. |
| Pollstar estimate, reported by The Associated Press in December 2024 | Approximately $2.2 billion | Pollstar estimate for the same 149-show run, based on box-office reports, venue-capacity estimates, historical venue ticket-sales data and other research. |
The difference does not establish that one number is an error: they are reported totals produced on different bases. Keep the source attached to the figure whenever citing it. In the AP report, Pollstar editor-in-chief Andy Gensler called the achievement “extraordinary and unprecedented”; that statement referred to Pollstar’s estimate, not the Guinness/Boxscore total.
What other recent tour grosses are reported?
Recent reporting identifies other enormous tour totals, but it does not establish a complete, consistently measured current ranking beneath Swift’s record.

#1 Best Overall
| Tour | Reported amount | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Coldplay, Music of the Spheres | $1.39 billion cumulative gross | The Associated Press reported the Pollstar figure in 2025; the tour ran from 2022 through 2025. |
| The Weeknd, After Hours ’Til Dawn | More than $1 billion | The Associated Press reported in 2025 that Live Nation said the tour officially crossed this mark. An exact cumulative total was not stated. |
These figures show the scale of later tours, but they should not be presented as a precise all-time second- and third-place ranking: the available reporting does not supply the same complete set of comparable details for each tour.
What does “highest-grossing” mean?
Gross is the revenue reported for ticket sales, not the number of tickets sold, audience size, average revenue per show, or profit after costs. Those measures answer different questions and cannot be substituted for one another.
Rank #2
- Guinness lists 10,168,008 tickets sold for the Eras Tour, an average ticket price of $204.33, and average attendance of 68,242 per show. These are separate measures from its gross total.
- In 2025, the AP reported that Coldplay led Pollstar’s ticket-sales ranking for the millennium, while Swift’s Eras Tour held the all-time gross record cited in the same coverage.
- A period chart ranking average box-office gross per city or average ticket price is not a lifetime-gross ranking. Pollstar’s October 2026 Top 20 Global Concert Tours chart, reproduced by AP, uses those period metrics and data supplied by promoters and venue managers.
Why is there no definitive full ranking here?
A reliable all-time list below the leader requires a shared publisher, a stated cutoff date and comparable reporting methods. The available sources support the Eras Tour record and provide notable later tour totals, but they do not establish a complete current ranking on one consistent basis. Older lists may also predate tours reaching their final totals. Guinness notes that records can change and are not immediately posted online, so any ranking should be read with its source and date.
