This was a real Amazon promotion reported on September 4, 2024—not a currently verified deal. The report listed a Galaxy Z Fold6 for $1,999 with a $300 Amazon gift card. As of August 16, 2026, there is no confirmation here that Amazon still offers that price or gift card. Treat the headline as historical unless both appear in the live listing and checkout.
What the original $1,999 deal included
Android Headlines reported the offer on September 4, 2024: a Galaxy Z Fold6 priced at $1,999 through Amazon, bundled with a $300 Amazon gift card. The article described the phone and card as worth about $2,319 if bought separately, framing the card as effectively free. That was the article’s value comparison at the time, not a current market valuation. Read the September 2024 deal report.

A separate Tom’s Guide report from July 2024 described a different launch-period promotion: a $1,899 preorder price, a $300 Amazon gift card, and a storage upgrade. Those were separate terms from the September report; do not assume the $1,999 offer included the same storage tier or conditions. See the July 2024 preorder coverage.
The historical report does not establish the exact storage capacity, whether the phone was unlocked or sold directly by Amazon, how or when the gift card was delivered, whether a claim step was required, or what happened to the gift card if the phone was returned. Those details must come from the terms for the specific live listing.

- A premium foldable smartphone featuring an 8.0" Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display, 6.5" cover display, 200MP main camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, 4,400mAh battery, and a slim 215g design.
Why this isn’t a current deal recommendation
Old deal pages and search results can remain visible after promotions end. A page that resembles the old offer—or an Amazon listing for a Fold6—does not prove that the $300 card is still included. The historical coverage does not establish an expiration date, and no live Amazon checkout evidence confirms the bundle as of August 16, 2026.
Samsung’s current U.S. pages point to a different buying landscape. Its Fold6 upgrade page has shown a starting price of $1,199.99 before trade-in, while its Fold6 offers page has shown $1,599.99 before trade-in. These are differing Samsung-direct page signals, not comparable guaranteed prices for the same configuration; check the selected model, offer and checkout total. Samsung’s broader U.S. phone-offer pages feature newer Fold generations and incentives, including trade-in promotions. What kind of phone the Fold6 is
The Fold6 is a book-style foldable: it opens to a large inner screen for tasks such as reading, documents, media and multitasking, and closes to a conventional cover screen. Launch coverage lists a 7.6-inch inner display, a 6.3-inch cover display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the U.S. model context, and 12GB of RAM. The cited camera configuration is a 50MP main rear camera, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto, 10MP outer selfie camera and 4MP under-display inner camera. Samsung highlights the generation’s thinner, lighter design, wider cover display and titanium design elements. Samsung’s Fold6 product information.
The phone supports the S Pen, but support does not mean an S Pen is included. Check the exact box contents and budget for accessories such as a case, charger if needed, or S Pen. The inner screen and multitasking are the reasons to choose this form factor; if you will mostly use the cover screen, a conventional phone may be a better-value fit.

What the gift card really does to the price
| Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|
| Reported phone outlay | $1,999 |
| Reported gift card | $300 |
| Nominal effective cost if you use the full card at face value | $1,699 |
The $1,699 figure is not the cash price: it assumes you would naturally spend all $300 at Amazon and can use the card on terms that suit you. Its practical value is lower if you rarely shop there, need to spend extra to use it, or would buy unrelated items only because the credit is available. An instant discount is more flexible.
Even if the full historical bundle reappeared, compare it with the exact Fold6 configuration, condition, warranty and return rights available now, as well as newer-model pricing and trade-in requirements. The gift card alone does not make a $1,999 purchase worthwhile.

- Confirm the promotion at checkout. The live product page, promotion terms or checkout should show both the phone price and the $300 card. Do not rely on an old deal page, cached result or search snippet.
- Check condition and seller. Confirm whether the phone is new, refurbished, renewed, used or open-box, and whether Amazon or a third-party marketplace seller is fulfilling the order. These listings may differ in warranty, returns and eligibility.
- Verify the exact model and configuration. Check storage capacity, U.S. model and carrier compatibility. Do not assume the $1,999 September offer had the 512GB storage upgrade mentioned in separate July preorder coverage.
- Confirm lock status. If you need to switch carriers, make sure the particular phone is unlocked and compatible with your carrier.
- Read the gift-card terms. Verify its value, eligibility, delivery timing, redemption restrictions and whether any action is required. Check whether returning the phone forfeits the card or reduces the refund.
- Check warranty and returns. Confirm Samsung U.S. warranty eligibility and the return policy for that seller and condition. Do not assume a marketplace listing carries the same protections as a new U.S. model sold through an authorized channel.
- Calculate the real checkout cost. Confirm the configuration is in stock and include applicable taxes. Compare any trade-in offer separately rather than treating it as a no-trade-in price.
- Account for accessories and support. Check what is in the box, price any accessories you want, and confirm the remaining software-support period for the device before committing.
Who should consider a Fold6—and who should pass
It may fit if
- You specifically want a Samsung book-style foldable and will use its inner display regularly.
- You already shop at Amazon enough to use the entire gift card on purchases you would make anyway.
- The live listing confirms a new, unlocked, U.S.-compatible phone with suitable warranty and return terms.
- The actual price is meaningfully below the newer-generation alternatives you would otherwise buy.
Look elsewhere if
- You are buying mainly because an old headline promises a gift card, or you cannot confirm the benefit in checkout.
- You want the newest flagship or longest remaining support period and a newer Fold is close in price after applicable offers.
- You prioritize conventional-phone durability, camera or battery value over a large folding screen.
- The listing’s seller, condition, model, warranty or return consequences are unclear.
For a buyer spending near $2,000, compare the exact Fold6 listing with Samsung’s current Fold-generation offers and trade-in terms, rather than comparing headline prices alone. A conventional Galaxy S Ultra may be more appropriate if you do not need a foldable, but its current price and promotions should be checked separately. No current price comparison for those alternatives is established here. Check Samsung’s current U.S. phone promotions.
Verdict: The $1,999 Fold6-plus-$300-card promotion was reported in 2024, but it is not verified as available in August 2026. Buy only if a live retailer checkout confirms the exact phone, price and gift-card terms—and the resulting deal beats the alternatives for your needs.
