Best deals by type of buyer
Best overall value: Beats Studio Pro
The reported $150 price made the Beats Studio Pro the clearest value among the listed over-ear deals. Beats lists the headphones at $349.99 and specifies active noise cancellation, Transparency mode, up to 40 hours of listening time, and up to 24 hours with ANC or Transparency enabled. The model supports Apple and Android devices, includes a 3.5mm input, and supports lossless audio over USB-C, according to Beats’ specifications.
Buy if: you want one versatile wireless headset for phones, computers and wired listening. Skip if: you need the strongest possible travel ANC, very low clamp force, or a small earbud form factor. The 40-hour rating is not the ANC-on figure, and lossless audio refers specifically to USB-C listening.
Best premium ANC value: Sony WH-1000XM5
The reported $198 price was unusually aggressive against the cited $400 reference price. It remains the more financially compelling Sony choice if the XM6 is available only near full price. However, a large percentage discount does not prove a historical low, and the XM5 is an older generation beside the WH-1000XM6.

Skip if: the price has returned near current flagship pricing or you specifically want the newest Sony design and features.
Best current premium benchmark: Sony WH-1000XM6
Sony’s US product page lists the WH-1000XM6 at $459.99 and rates it for up to 30 hours of battery life. The reported Prime Day price of $378 was a meaningful reduction, though less dramatic than the XM5 discount.

- LONG BATTERY LIFE: With up to 50-hour battery life and quick charging, you’ll have enough power for multi-day road trips and long festival weekends.(USB Type-C Cable included)
- HIGH QUALITY SOUND: Great sound quality customizable to your music preference with EQ Custom on the Sony | Headphones Connect App.
- LIGHT & COMFORTABLE: The lightweight build and swivel earcups gently slip on and off, while the adjustable headband, cushion and soft ear pads give you all-day comfort.
- CRYSTAL CLEAR CALLS: A built-in microphone provides you with hands-free calling. No need to even take your phone from your pocket.
- MULTIPOINT CONNECTION: Quickly switch between two devices at once.
Buy if: you want Sony’s current flagship and the live price is close to the reported $378 event price. Skip if: you are shopping under $200; the XM5 or Bose QuietComfort deal is more relevant. Battery figures are manufacturer ratings, not independent measurements.
Best Apple deal: AirPods Pro 3
AirPods Pro 3 were reported at $179 against $249 during Prime Day. They are the natural choice for iPhone owners who value Apple ecosystem conveniences, but Android buyers should not assume they receive the same feature set or integration.
Buy if: you use an iPhone and want compact in-ear ANC. Skip if: you use Android as your primary phone, dislike sealed ear tips, or need maximum battery life from a single charge. Confirm the exact generation, condition and seller on the live listing.
Best Android-friendly over-ear option: Beats Studio Pro
Unlike products whose most useful features depend heavily on one phone ecosystem, Beats explicitly markets Studio Pro for both Apple and Android. That does not guarantee identical features across platforms, but it makes the model a safer cross-platform purchase than choosing AirPods solely because they are discounted.
Best workout option: Beats Powerbeats Pro 2
The Powerbeats Pro 2 were reported at $180, down from $250. Their secure workout-oriented design is the reason to choose them over ordinary earbuds. Before purchase, check the listing’s stated water or sweat resistance, fit accessories and return policy; the dossier does not establish a specific IP rating.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Best open-ear option: Bose Ultra Open Earbuds
The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds were reported at $199 against $299. Their open-ear design is intended to preserve awareness of surrounding sound, making them relevant for walking, cycling and office use.
Buy if: hearing your environment is the priority. Skip if: you are buying for flights, trains or loud offices. Open-ear products deliberately sacrifice isolation and fullness compared with sealed earbuds or over-ear ANC headphones.
Best budget value under $100: Beats Solo 4
The reported $100 price for Beats Solo 4 was half the cited $200 reference price. It is an on-ear rather than over-ear model, so expect a different fit, less physical isolation and potentially more pressure on the ears than with larger headphones.
Buy if: you want an inexpensive, portable Beats option and prefer on-ear headphones. Skip if: you need active noise cancellation, maximum comfort on long flights or a sealed over-ear fit.

Best comfort-focused ANC deal: Bose QuietComfort Headphones
Bose reported a $359 original price and up to 24 hours of battery life, with Quiet and Aware modes, custom modes and adjustable EQ through the Bose app. The headphones include an audio cable with an in-line microphone. Bose pages showed different direct prices, around $209–$229 depending on color or page variant, so the reported $179 Prime Day price must be tied to an exact SKU rather than treated as universal.
Buy if: comfort, adjustable EQ and straightforward ANC are more important than buying the newest flagship. Skip if: you need confirmed multipoint, advanced ecosystem features or a guaranteed price regardless of color. Check the color, seller, condition and return terms.
Best premium Bose earbuds: QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, second generation
The reported $249 price was only about 17% below the cited $299 reference. That can still be worthwhile if you specifically want Bose’s in-ear ANC and fit, but it is not automatically a must-buy sale.
Best alternative premium designs: Nothing Headphone (1) and Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3
Nothing Headphone (1) was reported at $213 against $299, making it the stronger value of the two on the cited prices. The Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3 was reported at $429 against $479, a relatively modest reduction. Choose either only after confirming the live price and your priorities around sound, design, comfort, app support and device switching; the available evidence does not support a universal sound-quality ranking.
Deals not to force into this list
The earlier version of this topic, published by Engadget in October 2023, listed 22 products, including older Sony, Apple, Beats, Anker, Bose, Sennheiser, Amazon, Shokz, Google, JLab and HyperX models. Those prices and “new low” claims were tied to October Prime Big Deal Days and should not be carried forward.
Best Value
- Block the World, Keep the Music: Four built-in mics work together to filter out background noise — whether you're in a packed office, on a crowded commute, or moving through a busy street — so every beat comes through clean and clear. (Not available in AUX-in mode.)
- Two Ways to Hear More: BassUp technology delivers deep, punchy bass and crisp highs in wireless mode — then step it up further by plugging in the included AUX cable to unlock Hi‑Res certified audio for studio-level clarity.
- 40 Hours. 5-Minute Top-Up: With ANC on, a single charge keeps you listening through days of commutes and long-haul flights. Running low? Just 5 minutes plugged in gives you 4 more hours — so you're never stuck waiting.
- Two Devices, Zero Hassle: Stay connected to your laptop and phone at the same time. Audio switches automatically to whichever device needs you — so a call never interrupts your flow, and getting back to your playlist is just as easy. Designed for commuters and remote workers who move smoothly between work and personal listening throughout the day.
- Your Sound, Your Rules: The soundcore app puts everything at your fingertips — dials your ideal EQ with presets or build your own, flip between ANC, Normal, and Transparency modes on the fly, or wind down with built-in white noise. One app, total control.
The available 2026 evidence does not provide a verified live price, platform compatibility profile and current specification set for a gaming headset, wired audiophile headphone or budget earbud. It is better to omit those categories than to pad the article with expired or unverified offers. For gaming, check whether the headset uses Bluetooth, USB, a wireless dongle or 3.5mm, and confirm compatibility with PC, PlayStation or Xbox separately. For wired open-back headphones, remember that sound leakage makes them unsuitable for shared or noisy spaces.
How to check whether a headphone deal is real
- Check the event status. Prime Day pricing can disappear when the event ends or inventory runs out.
- Compare against more than MSRP. Record the list price, recent normal price when reliably available and the actual checkout price. “Save $X” based only on MSRP is not proof of a bargain.
- Inspect the exact listing. Confirm color, generation, new versus refurbished condition, delivery date, quantity limits and the seller.
- Check Prime requirements. Some promotions require membership, a clipped on-page coupon or a limited-time deal rather than applying automatically.
- Review the return and warranty terms. Third-party marketplace sellers may have different policies, and old inventory can raise battery-age concerns.
- Match the form factor to the use case. Over-ear models are bulkier; earbuds depend heavily on ear-tip fit; open-ear designs preserve awareness but do not block noise; open-back wired headphones leak sound.
- Verify features instead of inferring them. Bluetooth does not automatically mean multipoint. ANC does not eliminate every voice or wind sound. Manufacturer battery ratings vary by mode and connection.
Buy now or wait?
Buy immediately only when the live price is close to a genuinely strong benchmark and the product fits your needs. The reported $150 Beats Studio Pro, $198 Sony WH-1000XM5 and $179 Bose QuietComfort Headphones were the most compelling event prices in this list. The reported discounts on the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3 and second-generation Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds were less urgent.
If a listing has returned near MSRP, has a questionable seller, is refurbished without a clear warranty, or applies only to an unwanted color, wait. Prime-style promotions recur, and a nominal discount is not a reason to buy headphones you do not need.

Price and availability policy
This article treats the 2026 figures as historical event snapshots. A live update should remove expired offers, record the date and time prices were checked, and identify whether the comparison is MSRP, list price or recent street price. “Lowest price ever” should be used only with a reliable historical record. Retailer stock, Prime eligibility, delivery dates and coupons must be rechecked before publication.
