Quick verdict
- Best overall: LG 65-inch C5 OLED at $1,387, provided the exact listing, seller and condition matched the reported deal.
- Best bright-room value: TCL 65-inch QM8K Mini-LED at about $948–$949.
- Best gaming value: TCL 55-inch QM7K Mini-LED at $569.
- Best budget choice: Toshiba 55-inch C350 Fire TV at $199, or Amazon’s 50-inch Fire TV 4-Series at $259.
- Best large-screen splurge: Sony 98-inch Bravia 5 at $4,498—but only for buyers with the room and delivery budget for a 98-inch television.
The headline discounts were not equally valuable. A claimed percentage reduction from MSRP can look dramatic even when the television frequently sells for less than that reference price. The practical test is the combination of verified price, picture quality, room suitability, features, warranty, delivery terms and competing-retailer pricing.

These were snapshots from the October 8 live coverage, not guaranteed final prices. Limited-stock offers could disappear early, and the lowest Amazon price might have applied to a third-party, renewed or open-box listing rather than a new television sold by Amazon.

OLED deals: best for contrast and movies
LG C5 OLED: the strongest all-rounder
The reported $1,387 price for the 65-inch LG C5 was the standout deal. The C5’s OLED panel is the natural choice for movie fans and viewers who value near-perfect blacks, strong contrast and wide viewing angles. It was also reported to have fallen from $1,696 on Day 1, making the Day 2 price particularly compelling.
OLED is not automatically the right choice for every household. A room with intense direct sunlight may favor a bright Mini-LED set, and buyers who display static news tickers, game interfaces or desktop windows for long periods should understand the possibility of image retention. Use the manufacturer’s panel-care guidance and vary static content.
Buy it if: you want premium picture quality for films, series and mixed viewing. Skip it if: your room is extremely bright or the television will show static content for much of every day.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsLG G5 OLED: premium brightness, with a stand warning
The 55-inch G5 was reported at approximately $1,746–$1,767, more than $750 below the cited regular price. It was the premium OLED choice for buyers willing to pay for a higher-end design and brighter presentation.
There is an important ownership cost: the reported 55-inch configuration was designed primarily for wall mounting, and its stand was sold separately. Add the cost of a compatible stand or mount before comparing it with a C5 or another complete package. The exact included accessories must be confirmed on the listing.

Samsung S90F and Sony XR8B OLED
The Samsung 65-inch S90F was another OLED sale worth comparing against LG’s C5 and G5. The live coverage showed a variable price, so the exact size, seller and final checkout price mattered.
The Sony 65-inch XR8B OLED was listed at $1,298 against a $1,999 reference price. Because the source coverage had not fully reviewed that model, treat it as a specification- and price-led option rather than a proven editorial winner.
Mini-LED and QLED deals: better bright-room and big-screen value
TCL QM8K: the bright-room pick
The 65-inch TCL QM8K at roughly $948–$949 was one of the most attractive Day 2 values. Mini-LED backlighting can deliver substantially more brightness and stronger HDR impact than inexpensive edge-lit televisions, making it useful for daytime viewing.
Mini-LED is still a backlit technology, not an OLED substitute. Depending on the scene and panel, viewers may notice blooming around bright objects, less consistent black uniformity and narrower optimal viewing angles. The exact size can also affect performance and features.
TCL QM7K: the gaming-value pick
The 55-inch QM7K was reported at $569, described as its lowest price to date in the coverage. It was highlighted for gaming-related features including VRR, FreeSync Premium Pro, 4K/144Hz support and Game Master Mode.
Rank #3
- HI - QLED MINILED: Striking contrast and vivid, lifelike color put every scene in a new light. Whether it's a sunny landscape or a candlelit drama, the picture leaps off the screen. Mini-LED backlighting uses hundreds of precise light zones to enhance contrast across the screen. Paired with Hi-QLED technology, every color comes through with stunning depth and accuracy
- NATIVE 144HZ REFRESH RATE: Fast breaks, high-speed chases, live finales — every frame stays crisp and fluid, so the action is always exactly where you need it to be. Native 144Hz refresh performance keeps movement fast and sharp, reducing blur during gameplay and live sports. The quick response helps you stay in control during competitive gaming while making rapid camera shots in shows and movies easier to follow
- BUILT-IN SUBWOOFER: Immersive deep bass from the built-in subwoofer pulls you into the heart of the moment, from the rumble of an explosion to the thump of your favorite song. Feel like you’re a part of the action
- ANTI-REFLECTION & GLARE-FREE: Bright rooms are no match for this screen. The anti-reflection and glare-free display keeps your view clean and distraction-free, so you stay focused on what matters — the show
- UNIBODY SLIM DESIGN: Edge-to-edge display and a seamless design that disappears into your room — so all you see is the picture
Do not assume every QM7K size has identical specifications. Before buying, check the exact model number and confirm HDMI 2.1 availability, which ports support 4K at 120Hz or 144Hz, VRR support, input lag, and compatibility with your PS5, Xbox or gaming PC.
Hisense U75QG, Roku Pro Series and Sony Bravia 7
The 65-inch Hisense U75QG was reported at $798, while the 65-inch Roku Pro Series was $599. Both were strong large-screen value candidates for shoppers who preferred brightness or a lower price over OLED’s black levels.
The 75-inch Sony Bravia 7 Mini-LED was reported at $1,799. It made more sense for buyers who prioritized Sony’s processing and picture presentation than for shoppers seeking the largest discount. Roku’s simple interface may appeal to some households, while others may prefer Google TV, Fire TV or Samsung’s platform. Smart-TV systems also differ in advertising, privacy settings and app ecosystems.
Cheap TVs for bedrooms and second rooms
The Toshiba 55-inch C350 Fire TV at $199 was the clearest low-cost option for a bedroom, guest room or casual streaming setup. Amazon’s 50-inch Fire TV 4-Series at $259 was another inexpensive 4K choice. The Hisense 55-inch U6QF at $447 offered a step up toward Mini-LED-style brightness and HDR value.
At this end of the market, the savings come with trade-offs: weaker HDR, less capable processing and motion handling, less powerful speakers and simpler construction. They can be sensible purchases when the goal is simply a large, inexpensive screen, but they are not equivalent to the C5, G5 or QM8K for cinematic viewing.

Giant-screen and lifestyle deals
Sony Bravia 5 98-inch
The Sony Bravia 5 in 98 inches was listed at $4,498, compared with a $5,999 reference price. It was the standout size-first deal, but a nominal discount does not make a 98-inch television practical for every room.
Measure viewing distance, wall or furniture width, doorways, staircases and elevator access. Confirm delivery and installation options, inspect the carton and screen at delivery, and keep all packaging until the return period has safely passed. A large television may also require a stronger wall mount, professional installation and a soundbar or receiver.
Samsung The Frame Pro bundle
The 75-inch The Frame Pro bundle was reported at $2,197 against a $3,595 bundle reference and included an extra bezel and Samsung Music Frame. Its value depends on whether the art-display function and included accessories matter to you. Compare the complete bundle contents rather than treating the quoted reduction as a television-only discount.
The Samsung 98-inch QN90D Neo QLED was listed at $7,598 against a $14,998 reference. That was a large nominal saving, but the total cost, room requirements and alternative current-generation models should have been part of the decision.

The best Prime Big Deal Days purchase was not necessarily the best Amazon listing. The source coverage reported that Best Buy undercut Amazon on some LG OLED pricing and that Best Buy and Walmart were competing on television deals. The 48-inch LG B5 was described as a Best Buy exclusive rather than an Amazon deal.

- OLED CARE: Helps protect your OLED display to retain the best picture quality possible over time
Before checkout, compare the exact size and SKU at Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart. Check whether the item is sold by Amazon, the manufacturer or a marketplace seller; whether it is new, renewed or open-box; the warranty; the return window; shipping damage coverage; and any retailer price-match policy. A lower sticker price can be a poor bargain if support or return terms are weaker.
How to choose the right television
1. Start with the room
- Bright room: Favor the TCL QM8K, Hisense U75QG or another strong Mini-LED option.
- Light-controlled room: The LG C5 or G5 is better suited to film-focused viewing.
- Wide seating: OLED generally preserves image quality better at off-center angles, though the exact panel still matters.
- Wall mounting: Confirm VESA dimensions, weight, cable access and whether a stand is included. The G5 may require a separate stand.
- Small bedroom or kitchen: A Toshiba C350 or Fire TV 4-Series may be more financially sensible than a premium panel.
Use viewing distance and furniture dimensions—not a discount percentage—to decide screen size. For 75-inch, 85-inch and 98-inch models, measure delivery access as carefully as the wall.
2. Match the TV to your use
- Movies: Choose OLED for black levels, contrast and cinematic performance.
- Sports: Prioritize motion handling, brightness and viewing angles.
- PS5, Xbox or PC: Verify HDMI 2.1, 4K/120Hz or higher, VRR, FreeSync or G-Sync, input lag, Dolby Vision gaming and port placement.
- Casual streaming: A budget Fire TV or Roku set may be enough if HDR and premium processing are not priorities.
- Art display: The Frame Pro is a lifestyle purchase as much as a television purchase.
3. Check the price properly
Record the exact model and size, then distinguish MSRP, current list price, typical recent selling price, lowest historical price and bundle value. “50% off” means little unless you know what the 50% is measured against. Also confirm that the displayed price is for the new, exact-size version you intend to buy.

Which deals were genuinely compelling?
The LG C5 was the clearest premium all-purpose buy at its reported Day 2 price. The TCL QM8K was more persuasive for bright rooms and shoppers seeking Mini-LED value, while the QM7K was the most targeted choice for gaming on a mid-range budget. The Toshiba C350 and Amazon Fire TV 4-Series were sensible only when low cost mattered more than HDR, speakers and refinement.
The G5, Frame Pro and giant Sony and Samsung sets could be excellent purchases for narrowly defined buyers, but their real costs included stands, mounts, installation, delivery logistics and—in the Frame’s case—the value of its bundled lifestyle accessories.
