Prime Big Deal Days 2025 ended October 8, 2025. Amazon’s U.S. event ran for 48 hours, from 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 7 through 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 8. This is a record of the notable Amazon-device offers from that sale—not a list of discounts available now. The percentages below were reported for the event, and today’s price, seller, model, and availability may differ. Amazon’s event FAQ has the dates; check each linked product page for current details.
Quick picks: which 2025 deals were worth attention?
These picks rank the offers by likely usefulness for the right buyer, not by the size of the markdown. Amazon reported the historical discounts in its Prime Big Deal Days device roundup; those figures do not establish that a product was at its lowest-ever price.

|---|---|---|
| Best for most readers | Kindle Paperwhite Essentials bundle — 28% off | A standard-reading option with a cover and power adapter in the bundle. |

| Budget tablet | Fire HD 8 with cover — 41% off | A lower-cost fit for reading, streaming, and casual use. |

| Novelty gift | Jack Skellington Echo Dot bundle — 28% off | Most appealing to a fan who wants the limited-edition design. |
Amazon also advertised selected Amazon devices at up to 50% off in its event announcement. “Up to” applied to selected offers, not every device in a category.
Kindle offers: choose by reading habits
Kindle Paperwhite Essentials bundle: the practical default
Amazon reported 28% off the Essentials bundle, which included a 16GB Kindle Paperwhite, fabric cover, and 9W power adapter. Amazon described this generation as having a 7-inch display, higher contrast, and page turns 25% faster than the previous generation. Those are Amazon’s product claims, not an independent comparison. See the Kindle Paperwhite bundle page.

- Your favorite music and content – Play music, audiobooks, and podcasts from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and others or via Bluetooth throughout your home.
- Alexa is happy to help – Ask Alexa for weather updates and to set hands-free timers, get answers to your questions and even hear jokes. Need a few extra minutes in the morning? Just tap your Echo Dot to snooze your alarm.
- Keep your home comfortable – Control compatible smart home devices with your voice and routines triggered by built-in motion or indoor temperature sensors. Create routines to automatically turn on lights when you walk into a room, or start a fan if the inside temperature goes above your comfort zone.
- Do more with device pairing – Fill your home with music using compatible Echo devices in different rooms, or create a home theatre system with Fire TV.
- Say goodbye to drop-offs and buffering - With eero Built-in, Echo Dot doubles as a mesh wifi extender, adding up to 1,000 sq. ft. of wifi coverage to your existing eero network.
This was the most broadly defensible Kindle offer for someone who mainly reads text. A standalone Paperwhite may be a better value if you do not need the bundled cover or adapter; compare the exact model and accessory prices rather than assuming a bundle saves money.
Kindle Colorsoft Signature Essentials: for color content
The Colorsoft bundle was reported at 32% off and included a 32GB Kindle Colorsoft, cover, and wireless charging dock. Amazon described its display as 7 inches and called it its first color Kindle in the event coverage. It suits readers who expect to use color covers, illustrations, comics, magazines, or children’s content. Color e-ink is not the same kind of display as a phone or tablet LCD or OLED screen; for novels and other text-heavy reading, the less expensive Paperwhite may make more sense. See the Colorsoft bundle page.
Kindle Scribe Signature Essentials: for writing and markup
Amazon reported 35% off a bundle containing a 32GB Kindle Scribe, Premium Pen, fabric folio cover, and 9W power adapter. Its larger writing surface makes it a more appropriate choice for handwritten notes, document markup, and reading large pages than for someone who simply wants a light e-reader. It is a reading-and-writing device, not a general-purpose tablet with an iPad-style app ecosystem.

Entertainment and tablets
Fire TV Stick 4K Max + Luna Controller: buy the bundle only if you will use both
The combined Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Luna Controller offer was reported at 42% off. It makes sense for a buyer who wants 4K streaming and plans to use Amazon Luna cloud gaming. If you only need streaming, the controller may be wasted spend; compare the standalone streaming device with the bundle. Check current Luna availability, game access, controller compatibility, internet requirements, and any service terms before buying. The bundle is not automatically a console replacement. See the bundle product page.

Fire HD 8 with cover: a basic-use tablet, not a laptop substitute
Amazon reported 41% off the Fire HD 8 tablet with cover and described the tablet as an 8-inch HD model with a 5MP rear camera. The exact generation, storage configuration, and included accessories matter, so confirm the listing matches the bundle being considered. It is suited to streaming, reading, casual games, and basic household or child use. Fire tablets use Amazon’s software environment rather than providing the standard Google Play experience by default, and this class of tablet is not a direct replacement for an iPad, Windows laptop, or full Android tablet when productivity apps and multitasking matter.
Smart-home and networking offers
eero 6 three-pack: useful only if the home needs mesh coverage
Amazon reported 38% off the eero 6 three-pack. The event listing cited coverage up to 4,500 square feet and Wi-Fi speeds up to 500 Mbps; the current product listing also describes coverage up to 4,500 square feet and connection of more than 75 devices. These are manufacturer-stated limits, not guaranteed results. Walls, floors, interference, placement, home layout, and the internet plan all affect performance. A three-pack can be excessive for a small apartment or a home with few Wi-Fi dead zones, and it is not the right choice if you specifically want Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7. See the eero 6 three-pack page.

- Meet Echo Dot Max: Experience rich room-filling sound that automatically adapts to your space and fine-tunes playback. Features a built-in smart home hub and Omnisense technology for highly personalized experiences.
- Music to your ears: With nearly 3x the bass versus Echo Dot (2022 release), it fits beautifully in any space, delivering your personal sound stage with deep bass and enhanced clarity. Listen to streaming services, such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and SiriusXM. Encore!
- Do more with device pairing: Connect compatible Echo smart speakers and smart displays in different rooms, or pair with a second Echo Dot Max to enjoy even richer sound
- Simple smart home control: Set routines, pair and control lights, locks, and thousands of smart home devices that work with Alexa without needing a separate smart home hub. With Omnisense technology, you can activate routines via temperature or presence detection.
- Say goodbye to drop-offs and buffering - With eero Built-in, Echo Dot Max doubles as a mesh wifi extender, adding up to 1,000 sq. ft. of wifi coverage to your existing eero network.
Ring Battery Doorbell + Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam: account for service and privacy
The bundle was reported at 40% off and included a Ring Battery Doorbell and Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam. Amazon said the indoor camera offers expanded vertical coverage and head-to-toe video. The doorbell’s battery needs periodic charging, and both locations need suitable Wi-Fi. Ring recording history, cloud storage, and some features may depend on a subscription or plan; do not assume every feature or a subscription trial is included unless the exact listing states its terms.
Indoor cameras also affect household privacy. Consider placement carefully, particularly in bedrooms or homes with children, guests, or tenants, and review camera access and recording settings. Ring is most useful to buyers comfortable using its app and service ecosystem.

Echo deals: the biggest discount was not the broadest value
Echo Auto, 2nd Gen: a niche car upgrade
Amazon reported 73% off Echo Auto, the largest percentage discount in this group. It connects through the Alexa app on a smartphone and uses a car’s Bluetooth or auxiliary input; it relies on the phone’s data plan, so carrier charges may apply. Amazon’s product page says it supports Android 8.0 and later and iOS 14 or later, and is compatible with most cars that have Bluetooth or an auxiliary input. Check compatibility for your vehicle before purchase. Drivers whose cars already have Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, or capable built-in voice controls may gain little. Details are on the Echo Auto product page.

Echo Frames: a specialized wearable
Amazon reported 64% off Echo Frames, which combine eyewear with open-ear audio and Alexa features. That discount does not make them a better general-purpose Alexa buy than a speaker. Their appeal depends on fit, lens needs, battery expectations, and comfort with a voice-enabled wearable; they are for a narrower audience than an Echo Dot or Echo Show.
Jack Skellington Echo Dot: a gift, not a default pick
The 28%-off offer was for a limited-edition 5th-generation Echo Dot from the 2022 release with a Jack Skellington shell. It is chiefly a novelty or collector-oriented choice. Choose it for the design; for everyday Alexa use, compare an ordinary Echo speaker at its current price.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to judge a deal like this without overpaying
A percentage-off label is a starting point, not proof of value. Amazon’s event roundup confirms the advertised offers but does not establish that each was a historical low. NBC Select said its recommendations generally required at least 20% off, a rating of at least 4.0 stars from hundreds of reviews, and a price at a three-month low or historical low based partly on price-tracker checks. That is a more useful model for evaluating future offers than ranking by markdown alone; it still does not verify the price history of every product listed here. See NBC Select’s October 2025 deal coverage.
Best Value
- MEET ECHO SPOT - A sleek smart alarm clock with Alexa and big vibrant sound. Ready to help you wake up, wind down, and so much more.
- CUSTOMIZABLE SMART CLOCK - See time, weather, and song titles at a glance, control smart home devices, and more. Personalize your display with your favorite clock face and fun colors.
- BIG VIBRANT SOUND - Enjoy rich sound with clear vocals and deep bass. Just ask Alexa to play music, podcasts, and audiobooks. See song titles and touch to control your music.
- EASE INTO THE DAY - Set up an Alexa routine that gently wakes you with music and gradual light. Glance at the time, check reminders, or ask Alexa for weather updates.
- KEEP YOUR HOME COMFORTABLE - Control compatible smart home devices. Just ask Alexa to turn on lights or touch the screen to dim. Create routines that use motion detection to turn down the thermostat as you head out or open the blinds when you walk into a room.
- Compare the actual configuration. Storage, generation, color, accessories, and model number can change the price. Make sure a cover, pen, controller, or charger fits that exact device.
- Value the bundle only for items you need. A bundled controller or charging dock is not savings if it will sit unused. Compare the base device and accessories separately.
- Include ongoing costs. Check any required or optional plans for Ring, Luna, Kindle Unlimited, or children’s services. Hardware price and service access are separate questions.
- Consider ecosystem fit. Echo and Alexa work best for Alexa-compatible homes; Ring uses Ring’s app and may rely on paid cloud features; Fire tablets use Amazon’s software environment; eero is managed in the eero app; Kindle books are centered on Amazon’s store, with supported formats and borrowing options depending on the content and service.
- Check the seller and current terms. Product pages can change after a sale, including price, seller, configuration, and availability. Review the current return policy and warranty before checkout.
Amazon’s own event materials also promoted selected Kids devices, a Luna controller, and other early offers, as well as three months of Kindle Unlimited for eligible Prime members. That subscription promotion was a 2025 offer with eligibility and terms, not a permanent device benefit. See Amazon’s 2025 early-deal roundup. Do not join Prime or subscribe based solely on an expired event promotion; verify current prices, benefits, and renewal terms first.
What to buy now—and what not to infer from the sale
The October 2025 discounts are historical, not current offers. The sale page and linked product pages may now show different prices or products, so compare today’s listing against the exact model and bundle before deciding. For a standard reader, the Paperwhite bundle was the clearest all-purpose Kindle pick; the Colorsoft and Scribe made sense for color content and writing, respectively. The Fire TV/Luna bundle, Fire HD 8, and eero three-pack were worthwhile only when their distinct uses matched the buyer’s needs. The largest percentage markdowns belonged to specialized Echo products, not necessarily the best purchases for most households.
