The Beatles’ 14-LP In Mono vinyl box set returned in 2025, with the UK product listing dating the repress to 18 July. It collects the first nine UK albums in mono, the American-compiled Magical Mystery Tour, and Mono Masters. What the official product description says about mastering and packaging
Mastering claims
The UK product listing says the vinyl was mastered in 2014 at Abbey Road Studios from quarter-inch master tapes “without using any digital technology.” It credits engineer Sean Magee and mastering supervisor Steve Berkowitz, and describes comparisons with original 1960s first pressings and the use of a Studer A80 tape machine and VMS80 lathe. These are the store’s account of the production process, not independent listening-test findings.

Records and book
The listing specifies heavyweight 180-gram LPs and artwork described as faithfully replicated. It also includes a 12-by-12-inch hardbound book with essays and a history of the mastering process by radio producer and author Kevin Howlett. 2025 repress dates and availability by market
The box was first released in 2014. The UK Beatles Store lists 18 July 2025 as the repress release date. Universal Music Japan announced the reissue on 2 June 2025 as a limited, store-exclusive Japan release, with delivery planned for 25 July 2025. The UK Beatles Store mono collection page showed the box as “Sold out” when accessed in 2026. That status describes that UK store page at that time; it does not establish availability elsewhere or among resale sellers. Check the official store for your market and reputable record retailers, confirming the exact edition, seller, condition and delivered price before buying. How it differs from the 2024 U.S. mono set
The 14-LP set is the UK-album collection. It is distinct from The Beatles: 1964 U.S. Albums In Mono, a separate 2024 set with seven U.S.-compiled titles across eight LPs. The U.S. set is not another name for, or a substitute for, the 14-LP collection. The UK box-sets catalog listed both products. When comparing listings, check the edition and territory, LP count and album selection, stated mastering and packaging, seller and condition, and total delivered cost. A listing described only as a Beatles mono box may refer to either set, so verify the specific title and format.
