The 4 Best Hisense TVs of 2026: Reviews

The best Hisense TV depends on whether you prioritize HDR brightness, gaming, Mini-LED contrast, or the lowest price. These four picks cover each use case.

Hisense TVs are usually most compelling when they offer features normally reserved for pricier Samsung, LG, and Sony models—especially Mini-LED backlighting, high refresh rates, Dolby Vision, and large screens. The trade-off is less consistency between model lines, sizes, and retailers.

For 2026 shoppers, the best choice is usually not the newest or largest Hisense. It is the model that delivers the right picture quality and gaming features without paying for performance you will not use. The four picks below cover that range, from a high-end living-room TV to a low-cost everyday set.

Important: Hisense uses different model numbers in different countries, and specifications can vary by screen size. Check the exact model sold by your retailer before buying.

Quick comparison

TV Best for Panel/backlight Refresh-rate class Main compromise
Hisense U8 series Best overall picture Mini-LED LCD with quantum dots High refresh rate Viewing angles and processing are not class-leading
Hisense U7 series Best value for gaming Mini-LED or advanced full-array LCD, depending on model High refresh rate Less powerful HDR than the U8
Hisense U6 series Best affordable Mini-LED Mini-LED LCD with quantum dots Typically lower than U7/U8 More blooming and weaker motion handling
Hisense A7 series Best cheap large-screen TV Standard LED LCD with quantum dots Usually 60Hz No premium local-dimming performance

Prices change frequently, particularly around holiday sales and new-model clearances. Compare the price of the exact size you want rather than assuming that a discount on a 65-inch model applies to the 75-inch version.

1. Hisense U8 series — Best Hisense TV overall

The U8 series is the strongest all-rounder in Hisense’s mainstream range. Its Mini-LED backlight and quantum-dot color layer are designed to produce much brighter HDR highlights and darker blacks than a conventional edge-lit LCD TV. That makes it a good fit for a bright living room, sports, movies, and console gaming.

Recent U8 models have offered a high refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 features, variable refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and Google TV. Exact inputs and refresh-rate limits depend on the generation and size, so confirm whether the particular TV supports 4K at 120Hz or a higher gaming mode before buying it for a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or gaming PC.

Why it is a good buy

  • Very high brightness for daytime viewing and HDR.
  • Mini-LED local dimming gives substantially better contrast than Hisense’s basic A-series sets.
  • Strong gaming specification for the money.
  • Dolby Vision support is useful for streaming services and 4K Blu-ray.

What to watch out for

The U8 is still an LCD TV, not an OLED. Bright objects on dark backgrounds can produce blooming, particularly when subtitles are on screen. Its VA-style panel also tends to lose contrast and color when viewed from the side. If several people sit far off-center, an OLED or a TV with a wider-viewing-angle panel may be a better, if more expensive, choice.

Picture processing is another reason not to buy solely from a specification sheet. The U8 can look excellent with 4K streaming and games, but low-quality cable channels and heavily compressed video may reveal more artifacts than on a top Sony model.

Buy it if: You want the brightest and most cinematic Hisense picture without moving to the company’s most expensive flagship models.

2. Hisense U7 series — Best value Hisense TV for gaming

The U7 series usually occupies the sweet spot in Hisense’s lineup. It retains the features that matter most to gamers—high refresh rates, HDMI 2.1 connectivity, low input lag, and VRR—while giving up some of the U8’s brightness and local-dimming control.

For a living room or bedroom, the difference can be difficult to justify if the U8 costs substantially more. The U7 is bright enough for many daytime rooms and provides a clear upgrade over a 60Hz budget television. It is particularly attractive when a retailer discounts the previous generation after a new U-series launch.

  • HI - QLED MINILED: Striking contrast and vivid, lifelike color put every scene in a new light. Whether it's a sunny landscape or a candlelit drama, the picture leaps off the screen. Mini-LED backlighting uses hundreds of precise light zones to enhance contrast across the screen. Paired with Hi-QLED technology, every color comes through with stunning depth and accuracy
  • NATIVE 144HZ REFRESH RATE: Fast breaks, high-speed chases, live finales — every frame stays crisp and fluid, so the action is always exactly where you need it to be. Native 144Hz refresh performance keeps movement fast and sharp, reducing blur during gameplay and live sports. The quick response helps you stay in control during competitive gaming while making rapid camera shots in shows and movies easier to follow
  • BUILT-IN SUBWOOFER: Immersive deep bass from the built-in subwoofer pulls you into the heart of the moment, from the rumble of an explosion to the thump of your favorite song. Feel like you’re a part of the action
  • ANTI-REFLECTION & GLARE-FREE: Bright rooms are no match for this screen. The anti-reflection and glare-free display keeps your view clean and distraction-free, so you stay focused on what matters — the show
  • UNIBODY SLIM DESIGN: Edge-to-edge display and a seamless design that disappears into your room — so all you see is the picture

Strengths

  • Usually supports 4K high-refresh gaming on compatible HDMI inputs.
  • Good contrast for movies and television in a moderately dark room.
  • More convincing HDR than ordinary LED TVs in the same price range.
  • Often available in practical sizes, including 55, 65, and 75 inches, with larger options depending on the year.

Limitations

The U7 cannot match the U8’s peak brightness or black-level control. In a dark room, you may see a gray glow or halo around bright subtitles and small highlights. A direct lamp or window reflection can also be distracting because brightness does not eliminate glare.

Check the number of full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports if you plan to connect multiple current-generation consoles and a gaming PC. Some TVs advertise several HDMI inputs but reserve the highest-bandwidth functions for only one or two of them.

Buy it if: You want high-refresh gaming and strong HDR, but the U8’s price would force you to compromise on screen size.

3. Hisense U6 series — Best affordable Mini-LED Hisense TV

The U6 series is the budget route into Mini-LED and quantum-dot technology. It generally produces richer color, better contrast, and a brighter HDR image than a basic A-series TV. For streaming, casual sports, and ordinary television viewing, it can be one of the most cost-effective choices in the lineup.

Its appeal is strongest when the price gap to the U7 is large. If the two models are separated by only a small amount during a sale, the U7 is usually worth considering for its stronger gaming and motion performance.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Where the U6 works well

  • Bright enough for many daytime rooms.
  • Better blacks than most inexpensive non-local-dimming LCD televisions.
  • Quantum-dot color adds saturation to HDR content.
  • Smart features and streaming apps are generally more complete than on very cheap TVs.

Where the savings show

The U6 has fewer dimming zones and less powerful image processing than the U7 and U8. That can make blooming more visible and HDR highlights less dramatic. Motion may also look less clean during fast sports or when a game is played at a lower frame rate.

Do not assume that a U6’s advertised maximum refresh rate means it can accept every 4K gaming signal. Some generations offer a high-refresh mode at lower resolutions while remaining limited at 4K. Look for an explicit 4K/120Hz specification if that feature matters to you.

Buy it if: You want better contrast and color than a conventional budget TV, and you mostly watch movies, shows, and casual games.

4. Hisense A7 series — Best cheap large-screen Hisense TV

The A7 series is the sensible low-cost option for buyers who prioritize screen size over premium HDR. It typically uses a conventional LED backlight with quantum-dot color and a 60Hz-class panel. That is enough for Netflix, YouTube, broadcast television, and casual viewing, but it is not a substitute for the U-series’ local dimming.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A7 models make the most sense when a 65-, 75-, or larger screen is the priority and the budget cannot stretch to a Mini-LED set. A larger A7 can be more enjoyable than a smaller premium TV if the seating distance makes the difference in size obvious.

Strengths

  • Usually among the least expensive ways to buy a large 4K smart TV.
  • Quantum-dot color is a step above the most basic LED sets.
  • Dolby Vision support is commonly included, though the TV’s limited brightness restricts its impact.
  • Suitable for general streaming and television viewing.

Weaknesses

Without advanced local dimming, black areas can look gray in a dark room. HDR content will not have the punch seen on a U6, U7, or U8, and a 60Hz panel is a poor match for buyers seeking 4K/120Hz console gaming. Viewing angles are also limited on many sizes.

Before buying, check the operating system, remote, tuner, and HDMI specifications. Retailers sometimes use similar-looking Hisense names for different regional versions, and a cheaper model can omit a feature you expected from a review of another market’s version.

Buy it if: You want the biggest usable 4K picture for the least money and do not need premium HDR or advanced gaming.

How to choose the right Hisense TV

Start with the room, not the model number

For a bright room, the U7 or U8 is generally a safer choice because higher brightness helps overcome ambient light. In a dark room, local dimming matters more than headline brightness. The U6 can be good value, but the U8’s superior dimming is more likely to be visible in movies with black bars and subtitles.

  • NATIVE 144HZ GAME MODE: High refresh performance keeps fast movement fluid and sharp, reducing blur during gameplay and live sports. The quick response helps you stay in control during competitive gaming while making rapid camera shots in shows and movies easier to follow

Match the TV to your gaming hardware

For a PS5 or Xbox Series X, look for 4K at 120Hz, VRR, and at least one HDMI 2.1 input. For a Nintendo Switch, streaming box, or older console, those requirements are less important. A 60Hz A7 can be perfectly adequate for casual gaming.

Check the return policy

LCD uniformity varies between individual units. After installation, inspect a dark scene for excessive bright spots, vertical bands, or distracting blooming. Test every HDMI input and confirm that your console negotiates the expected resolution and refresh rate. A retailer with a practical return window is valuable when buying a large TV online.

Do not overpay for a new model

Hisense frequently refreshes its line. A previous-year U8 or U7 may be the better financial decision when clearance pricing is substantially lower. Compare measured performance and included features, not just the model year. A newer name does not automatically mean a better value.

FAQ

Is Hisense a reliable TV brand in 2026?

Hisense offers strong picture specifications for the price, but quality and long-term ownership experiences can vary more than with the most established premium brands. Buy from a retailer with a clear warranty and return policy, and inspect the panel soon after delivery.

Which Hisense TV is best for PS5 or Xbox Series X?

The U7 and U8 series are the better choices because they typically include high-refresh support, HDMI 2.1, and VRR. Confirm the exact model’s 4K/120Hz capability and which HDMI ports support it before purchasing.

Is a Hisense U8 better than an OLED?

Not universally. The U8 is usually brighter and often costs less at larger screen sizes, making it strong for bright rooms. OLED generally delivers cleaner black levels, less blooming, and better viewing angles, but can be more expensive and may not reach the same full-screen brightness.

Should I buy a Hisense U6 or A7?

Choose the U6 if contrast, HDR, and better movie performance matter. Choose the A7 if the lowest price or largest screen is the priority and you mainly watch ordinary streaming and television content.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Bottom Line

The Hisense U8 series is the best overall pick when you want high brightness, strong HDR, and advanced gaming features. The U7 is the better value for many gamers, while the U6 is the budget Mini-LED choice. Pick the A7 only when keeping the purchase price low or getting a larger screen matters more than premium contrast and 4K/120Hz gaming.

Before checkout, verify the exact model number, screen size, HDMI features, regional operating system, warranty, and return deadline. Those details can matter more to the value of a Hisense TV than the difference between two similarly named generations.
