The event ended before October 8, 2026, so those terms are not a current offer. MacKenzie-Childs’ official Barn Sale FAQ confirms the dates and maximum discount.
When was the 2026 MacKenzie-Childs Barn Sale?
The brand’s FAQ lists the sale dates as July 16 through July 20, 2026, and says it was available on the MacKenzie-Childs website and at the Aurora and SoHo stores. The event has ended; the 2026 dates should not be treated as a schedule for a future sale. The official FAQ is the source for the event terms. USA TODAY’s July 16, 2026 coverage, updated August 8, also reported the sale and its advertised discount.
Was the discount really up to 71% off?
No. The official event FAQ says styles were “up to 60% off.” USA TODAY also reported up to 60% off. The 71% claim in the old headline is not supported by those sources and should not be used as the verified discount for the 2026 Barn Sale.
“Up to” describes the maximum advertised reduction, not the discount on every product or the savings a typical shopper received. The sources establish no average savings or independently verified sales results.

What shoppers should know about inventory and sale terms
- Selection was not guaranteed: MacKenzie-Childs said it could not identify or guarantee the product and inventory mix before or during the sale. It also said new products might be added as the event continued, while online sale inventory was separate and limited.
- Items could sell out during checkout: The FAQ describes sale merchandise as first come, first served as customers complete checkout. Some products may require minimum quantities or be sold in multiples.
- Purchases were final: The brand’s terms said Barn Sale purchases could not be returned and that it would not make price adjustments on sale merchandise or earlier purchases.
- Shipping could vary by order: The FAQ describes standard ground delivery charges and notes that an order might arrive in multiple parcels.
What kinds of products have appeared in past sales?
A July 2024 MacKenzie-Childs announcement described a previous sale assortment that included enamelware, seasonal goods, handmade ceramics, outdoor furnishings and décor, with patterns such as Courtly Check, Sterling Check, Royal Check and Flower Market. That is historical context, not a promise about what was available in 2026 or what may appear in a later sale. The brand’s news archive also mentions a tea kettle as a popular item in a 2023 Barn Sale announcement; it does not establish the availability or sale price of a kettle in 2026.
MacKenzie-Childs describes its business as designing, making and selling hand-decorated ceramic and enamel tableware, furniture, and home and garden accessories. Its 2024 announcement characterized the style as vibrant color and pattern-on-pattern decoration. Those descriptions can help explain the merchandise, but they do not guarantee the quality, availability or discount of any specific item.

How to evaluate a future sale
Wait for MacKenzie-Childs to announce the next event’s dates and terms rather than assuming the 2026 schedule or discount will recur. When a new sale is announced, compare the exact item and pattern, its listed price, inventory, shipping charges and return terms. Check the final checkout price for the specific product; the headline maximum discount alone cannot tell you whether it is a good value for your needs.
The brand also lists a separate Warehouse Sale in October 2026. Its dates and terms are not the Barn Sale’s, so treat it as a distinct event and consult the official Warehouse Sale information for its details.
