What AAV means—and what it does not
AAV is the contract’s average value per year, the field used to order this list. It is not a report of how much a player receives in a particular season, nor does it mean that the same amount is guaranteed. Over The Cap lists total contract value, total guaranteed, and fully guaranteed amounts separately; those measures provide different contract context and do not change this AAV ranking.
How to read the ranking
- Stout leads the table at $4.1 million per year, just ahead of Dickson at $4.05 million.
- Cooke is third at $4 million, followed by Cole at $3.95 million.
- Mann, Sanchez, and Wright share the fifth-place AAV at $3.5 million.
The figures are a time-sensitive snapshot of Over The Cap’s live table, checked October 8, 2026. Team labels and contract listings may change, so the source table is the place to verify the current figures. AAV alone does not establish on-field quality or actual cash paid in a given season.
