The partnership went live on October 15, 2025, and offers routes that include WestJet points on eligible TELUS activity, WestJet points toward TELUS bill credits, and point conversions between programs. The benefits can be useful, but the right choice depends on whether you value TELUS savings or WestJet travel more—and current rates and eligibility should be checked before you act.
What the TELUS–WestJet partnership includes
The link connects TELUS Rewards with WestJet Rewards. Both companies announced the live partnership on October 15, 2025. TELUS had announced its nationwide, tier-based rewards program earlier that year; its May 15, 2025 announcement described tiers based on a customer’s qualifying TELUS products and services and identified WestJet as its planned inaugural premium partner (TELUS Rewards launch announcement).

The practical purpose is to let members earn, redeem, and convert points across the two programs. The current WestJet program page describes earning WestJet points on eligible TELUS activity, including mobility, internet, and TV, using WestJet points for TELUS bill credits, and converting points between TELUS Rewards and WestJet Rewards. The companies’ launch announcement also described converting TELUS Rewards points into WestJet points for travel redemptions through the WestJet Rewards eStore.

Choosing between TELUS savings and WestJet travel
There is no established universal best value for either route in the official material. Compare the use you actually expect to make of your points, and consult the live rates and limits rather than assuming a fixed cash value per point.
| Option | What it may suit | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| TELUS bill credits | Members who would rather offset eligible TELUS costs. WestJet’s current page specifically describes redeeming WestJet points toward TELUS bill credits. | Available credit amounts, redemption limits, and any account or service eligibility rules. |
| WestJet travel | Members who want to convert TELUS Rewards points into WestJet points and use them toward travel. The launch announcement described travel redemptions through the WestJet Rewards eStore. | The conversion rate, any limits, and the points required for the travel redemption you have in mind. |
A comparison is only meaningful when you check the terms for the same points balance and the redemption you would actually choose. The official WestJet page says the companies may change earning, redemption, and conversion rates and limits, so a rate or limit should not be treated as permanent.

Other partnership details and what they do—and do not—show
The October 15, 2025 announcement said WestJet Wi-Fi presented by TELUS was available on more than 100 narrowbody aircraft at that time, and forecast that the in-scope narrowbody fleet would be outfitted by the end of 2025. That was a company-reported figure and forecast; the sources cited here do not independently establish current fleet coverage. TELUS’s current partnership page describes the Wi-Fi as free for WestJet Rewards members (TELUS WestJet partnership page).
The launch announcement also gave company background figures of nearly 200 aircraft and more than 100 destinations after WestJet’s Sunwing integration. Those figures describe the airline, not the results or financial value of the rewards partnership. Neither company announcement establishes measured member savings or a universal points valuation.
