As checked August 18, 2026, TELUS currently advertises a free 55-inch Samsung 4K HDR Smart TV with eligible Optik TV and Internet sign-ups on a two-year term. A PlayStation 5 has appeared in an official TELUS bundle-selection flow, but its current availability is not confirmed nationwide. A free laptop offer is not verified on TELUS’s current public pages.
In every case, “free” refers to the promotional device—not to the Internet, TV service, taxes, equipment or the commitment required to receive it.

The currently advertised free TV offer
TELUS’s current Internet offer page advertises a free 55-inch Samsung 4K HDR Smart TV when eligible customers sign up for Optik TV and Internet with a two-year agreement.
#1 Best Overall
- Model Number CFI-2000
- Includes DualSense Wireless Controller, 1TB SSD, 2 Horizontal Stand Feet, HDMI Cable, AC power cord, USB cable, printed materials, ASTRO’s PLAYROOM (Pre-installed game)
- Vertical Stand sold seperately
The same offer page lists the television’s retail value as $699 and advertises a $100 online bill credit for qualifying Internet-and-TV orders. The offer is for residential customers and states that new-customer eligibility can require no TELUS Internet or TV subscription during the previous 90 days.
Key restrictions include:
- The offer is subject to service-address eligibility, availability and inventory.
- TELUS may change the promotion without notice.
- The offer may not be combined with every other promotional price.
- The two-year commitment applies to the qualifying Internet and Optik TV services.
- Taxes, equipment and applicable activation or installation charges are separate.
Therefore, the TV is a promotional gift attached to a paid service agreement. It is not free television service.
How to verify the offer before ordering
- Enter your exact address on the official TELUS home-services site.
- Select Internet and Optik TV if the promotion requires both.
- Check the promotions or gift-selection section of the checkout.
- Confirm the exact TV model, not just the screen size or brand.
- Save screenshots showing the gift, monthly price, term and all credits.
- Record activation, installation, equipment, shipping and pickup charges.
- Read the cancellation and downgrade terms before submitting the order.
- Keep the order confirmation and service agreement.
The checkout is more reliable than a search result, an old advertisement or a forum post. If the gift does not appear after address validation, ask TELUS whether it applies to your account and location; do not assume it will be added later.
What about a TELUS PS5 promotion?
A TELUS bundle-builder URL includes a “Sony Playstation 5 Game Console” gift option and shows a two-year Internet-and-TV configuration. However, that page was crawled last year, so it is evidence that the promotion existed—not confirmation that TELUS is offering a PS5 to all customers in August 2026.

Before treating a PS5 as part of your deal, confirm in the live checkout:
- whether the offer is available at your address;
- whether it is for a disc or digital edition;
- the qualifying Internet and TV plans;
- whether stock is limited;
- how shipping or pickup works;
- whether cancellation or downgrading creates a device-recovery charge.
Screenshot the complete offer and its terms. An official TELUS URL does not necessarily mean that an old campaign remains active.
Is TELUS offering a free laptop?
A free laptop cannot be verified as a current general TELUS promotion from the public pages reviewed. Laptop-style back-to-school giveaways have circulated previously, and a user discussion refers to a historical TELUS promotion tied to Internet 250 and a 90-day non-customer requirement. That secondary reference does not establish current availability, the laptop model or nationwide eligibility.

What “free” can still cost
The important comparison is the total cost of the required service, not the advertised value of the gift.
Total promotional cost =
(monthly service price × commitment months)
+ taxes
+ activation and installation charges
+ equipment charges
− bill creditsCompare that figure with the cost of a similar plan without a gift:
Comparable plan cost − monthly discountsDo not automatically value the TV at TELUS’s listed $699 figure. Check the exact model and realistic retail prices, then ask whether you would buy that device anyway.

For the specific offer terms cited by TELUS, combined early cancellation charges can start at $1,419 and decline by $59.12 per month until reaching zero at the end of the two-year term. Cancelling only Internet or only Optik TV can trigger a stated fee starting at $360, declining by $15 per month.

- Enjoy smooth and fluid high frame rate gameplay at up to 120 fps for compatible games, with support for 120Hz output on 4K displays.
- PS5 consoles support an 8K output, so you can play games on your 4320p resolution display.
- Maximize your play sessions with near-instant load times for installed PS5 games.
- 825GB SSD allows ultra-fast load times, while 3-D audio output produces crisp acoustics.
- Explore uncharted virtual territories and slay dragons with this sleek Sony PlayStation 5 gaming console.
These figures apply to the cited promotion and may differ by package, region or checkout offer. Cancelling within 90 days can also reverse bill credits. Removing TV, downgrading a package or transferring service may affect promotional eligibility, so read the agreement rather than relying on the headline gift.
What happens after 24 months?
A two-year promotion does not guarantee that every charge remains unchanged afterward. On the cited offer, unlimited data is included at no charge during the two-year Internet term, while TELUS lists the regular Unlimited Data price as $20 per month from month 25.
At the end of the promotional period, check:
- the regular Internet and TV rates;
- unlimited-data pricing;
- premium channels and other add-ons;
- equipment rental charges;
- taxes and regulatory fees;
- any bill credits that have expired.
A price lock for a base Internet or TV plan does not necessarily lock premium content, add-ons, unlimited data or taxes.

New customers, existing customers and movers
New residential customers may need to meet the 90-day rule: no TELUS Internet or TV service during the previous 90 days. Existing TELUS customers should not assume that a new-customer gift will be available when renewing, changing plans or adding services.
Best Value
- Slim Design, players get powerful gaming technology packed inside a sleek and compact console design.
- 825GB of storage, keep your favorite games raeady and waiting for you to jump in and play
- Ultra-High Speed SSD, maximize yoru play sessions with near instant load times for installed PS5 games
- Integrated I/O, the custom integration of the PS5 console's systems lets creators pull datat from the SSD so quickly that they can design games in ways never before possible
- Ray Tracing, immerse yourself in owrlds with a new level of realism as rays of light are individually simulated, creating true-to-life shadows and reflections in supported PS5 games
Existing TELUS or Koodo postpaid mobility customers may instead qualify for bundle savings. TELUS currently advertises $10 per month off qualifying home Internet for eligible mobility customers, along with up to $240 in home-service savings over two years. Eligibility can end if you change plans or otherwise stop meeting the requirements. Details are on TELUS’s home-services bundle page.
If you move, do not assume the original gift or price follows you. The new address may have different network technology, pricing, availability or eligibility. Obtain written confirmation before transferring service.
Free device versus monthly discount
The gift may be worthwhile when you already need both Internet and Optik TV, expect to remain for the full term, and have confirmed that the service’s total cost is competitive. It is less attractive when you already own a good TV, console or laptop, or when a competitor offers similar service at a substantially lower total price.
A monthly discount may be better if you might move or cancel early, the gift is an older or less desirable model, or you primarily stream and do not need live TV. A $699 television is not a bargain if the required package costs more than the alternatives by an even greater amount.
Questions to ask TELUS before accepting a gift
- What exact model and edition will I receive?
- Is the item in stock now, and can it be substituted?
- Will it ship automatically or require a separate redemption?
- Are shipping, delivery or pickup charges extra?
- What services and term are required?
- What happens if I cancel, move, downgrade or remove Optik TV?
- Will any bill credit be reversed?
- What will each service cost after the promotional period?
- Which price-lock exclusions apply?
- Are TELUS equipment returns required when service ends?
Bottom line
TELUS’s free TV promotion is the only one of the three that is clearly advertised on the current public pages: a 55-inch Samsung 4K HDR Smart TV with eligible Internet and Optik TV on a two-year term. The PS5 has appeared in an official TELUS promotion but needs live checkout confirmation. The laptop claim is not currently verified.
Proceed only when the gift appears in your address-specific TELUS order and the full two-year cost—including cancellation risk and post-promotion pricing—makes sense for your household.
