The Teclast T50HD launched with a reported £60 Amazon UK voucher that brought its advertised price to £109.99. The promotion ran from April 18 to April 21, 2024, and is no longer a current deal. The 11-inch tablet paired 256GB of storage and 4G connectivity with an entry-level processor, so its appeal was value for streaming and everyday use—not demanding gaming.
What was the Amazon UK deal?
| Offer detail | What was reported |

| Voucher | £60, described as an Amazon voucher by Gizchina |
| Offer period | April 18, 2024 at 09:00 to April 21, 2024 at 23:59 CEST, as reported by Gizchina |
| Current status | Expired; no current price or stock status is established here |
This was reported as a launch promotion, not a permanent price reduction. Because it was a voucher rather than a universal price cut, a shopper at the time would have needed to see and select the voucher on the relevant listing and confirm the discount in the order total before paying. The deal coverage does not establish that every customer qualified, who fulfilled each order, or whether delivery was included. Do not assume those terms applied uniformly: they depended on the particular Amazon listing and seller.
The historical report concerned Amazon UK. It is not evidence of a live listing or offer now, and the former £109.99 price should not be used as a current buying price.
What the Teclast T50HD offered
Screen and design
The T50HD was an 11-inch tablet with a 16:10 display. Launch coverage described it as Full HD or “1200P” and claimed 400-nit brightness, TÜV Rheinland blue-light certification and Teclast T-Colour 3.0 processing. Because the cited coverage uses differing resolution labels and does not settle the exact native pixel count, treat those labels as descriptions rather than a confirmed resolution specification. The promotional material also described a metal body, 7.8mm thickness and 530g weight.
#1 Best Overall
Processor, memory and storage
Notebookcheck identifies the tested tablet’s platform as the Unisoc T7200/T606, with Mali-G57 MP1 graphics. The advertised “14GB RAM” figure combines 6GB of physical RAM with up to 8GB of virtual memory allocated from storage. That extra virtual allocation is not equivalent to having 8GB more physical RAM; compare the physical memory and processor when judging multitasking performance.
The Notebookcheck review identifies 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage in its tested configuration. Promotional coverage claimed microSD expansion up to 1TB, but the sources cited here do not establish slot configuration or whether a card shares a slot with a SIM.
Rank #2
- Ideal for Gifting
- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
Connectivity, cameras and battery
Launch coverage listed 4G LTE through a SIM slot, satellite positioning support, stereo speakers, dual microphones, dual 13MP rear cameras and an 8MP front camera. These are reported specifications, not evidence of camera quality. On a budget tablet, the front camera is more plausibly suited to video calls and the rear cameras to basic document capture than to serious photography.
The reported battery capacity is 8,000mAh. Promotional claims of up to 9 hours of gaming, 9.5 hours of online video or 14 hours of reading are manufacturer-style usage claims, not independent battery-test results; actual endurance varies with brightness, connection, workload, software and battery condition.
Rank #3
Software and streaming
The tablet launched with Android 14. Notebookcheck reports Widevine L1, a useful certification for services that require it for higher-resolution streaming. It does not guarantee a particular resolution in every streaming app: service certification, app, region and firmware can affect playback. The available coverage does not establish a long-term Android version or security-update commitment, so buyers who expect years of documented updates should seek that information from the seller or manufacturer before purchasing.
What independent testing says about speed
Notebookcheck found browser performance broadly comparable with the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE and Telekom T Tablet in its test context, but the graphics results point to an entry-level entertainment device rather than a gaming tablet. Its reported results were:
Rank #4
| Test | Notebookcheck result |
|---|---|
| GFXBench T-Rex, onscreen | 22fps |
| 3DMark Wild Life Extreme | 117 points |
| 3DMark Wild Life | 422 points |
These are review results tied to Notebookcheck’s test software and firmware, not guarantees of performance in every game or a universal ranking against tablets tested under different conditions. Notebookcheck found the T50HD’s 3D performance below the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+. The practical distinction is that browsing, video and light tasks are a more natural fit than demanding 3D games or heavy multitasking.
Who the T50HD suited—and who should look elsewhere
Better fit
- Someone seeking a large screen for video streaming, reading, PDFs and web browsing.
- A buyer who values the reported 256GB internal storage and wants a SIM-connected tablet, after verifying local network compatibility.
- Light schoolwork, video calls and casual games rather than sustained high-performance work.
Less suitable
- Players of demanding 3D games or users who need consistently strong graphics performance.
- Buyers who require a clearly documented software-update policy, premium cameras or a laptop replacement.
- Anyone who needs confirmed compatibility with a particular UK mobile network; a SIM slot alone does not establish supported LTE bands, voice support or carrier compatibility.
- Buyers comparing a current T50HD listing with a mainstream tablet at a similar live price: seller, warranty, returns and support can change the value calculation substantially.
How to assess a current alternative
The April 2024 promotion is historical, so compare present listings rather than judging a tablet against the old £109.99 figure. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A9+ is a relevant faster-performance comparison; Xiaomi’s Redmi Pad SE is another budget Android reference. Amazon Fire tablets may suit buyers centred on Amazon services, but Fire OS has a different app ecosystem from standard Android. Check the exact model and configuration: storage, physical RAM, LTE capability and software support can vary.
Best Value
- It can be a gift option
- Comes with secure packaging
- Helpful in various ways
Before paying for any budget tablet, verify the full model name (T50HD, not T50, T50 Pro or T50 Plus), current price, seller, delivery and returns, warranty terms, physical RAM, storage, supported LTE bands and update policy. For mobile use, confirm the exact UK or EU edition, SIM format, data-versus-voice capability, APN requirements and carrier support. A brand-level warranty claim in deal coverage is not a substitute for the terms attached to the listing from which you would buy.
For official product ranges and current configurations, see Samsung UK, Xiaomi UK and Amazon UK Fire tablets. Those pages do not establish current prices for the T50HD or any particular alternative.
Verdict
At the reported £109.99 launch price, the T50HD offered a substantial screen, high nominal storage and 4G for buyers whose priorities were everyday entertainment and connectivity. Its modest graphics performance, virtual-memory marketing figure and unestablished update commitment make it a weaker choice for gaming or long-term support. The voucher ended in April 2024; anyone shopping now should compare current prices and seller terms rather than treat that deal as available.
