The “32% off” claim is not supported by the Target listing available for review. That listing showed a 256GB Porcelain Pixel 9 Pro XL for $1,299, down from $1,349—about 4% off—and marked the phone out of stock. It also identified Mobile Advance, not Target, as the seller and shipper. Check the live listing and checkout details before treating this as a buyable deal.

This is an indexed listing snapshot, not confirmation of Target’s live price or inventory on September 29, 2026. Product pages can remain searchable after stock disappears. Check shipping, pickup, delivery and the selected configuration after entering your ZIP code; do not assume the phone can be purchased just because its page is still visible.

- The power behind AI on Google Pixel - Google Tensor G4 is Pixel’s most powerful chip yet.
Using the listed figures, ($1,349 − $1,299) ÷ $1,349 × 100 is approximately 3.7%, which rounds to 4%, not 32%.
A larger percentage could be based on a different reference price, such as launch MSRP, a different storage tier, a temporary former price, or a total that assumes a trade-in or other promotion. Those comparisons are not interchangeable. Google’s Pixel 9 Pro XL launch price was reported as $1,099 for the base configuration; that figure is not a like-for-like comparison with the Target listing’s 256GB model and does not establish Target’s current regular price. Omdia’s August 2024 smartphone report provides that launch-price context.

What to verify before you pay
The seller matters as much as the headline price. The indexed page named Mobile Advance as seller and shipper, so do not assume the purchase has the same support or return terms as an item sold directly by Target.
- Exact item: Confirm capacity, color, condition (new, refurbished or open-box) and model number.
- Seller terms: Read the live listing’s return policy, warranty responsibility and any seller-specific conditions. The indexed page stated a 14-day in-store return window, but that is not proof the same terms apply to every marketplace listing or remain current.
- Carrier fit: Confirm the exact SKU is factory unlocked if that is what you need, and check your carrier’s model, band, certification, SIM and eSIM requirements. “Unlocked” alone does not guarantee every carrier feature.
- Final amount: Separate the base price from any Target Circle offer, Circle Card savings, coupon, trade-in credit, financing and sales tax. The listing advertised 5% savings with a Target Circle Card; treat that as a payment-method benefit, not part of the item’s markdown unless the terms explicitly say otherwise.
- Financing: The listing displayed Affirm payments “as low as $85/month.” A monthly payment is not a discount; check the APR, total repayment, approval requirements and promotional conditions at checkout.

Google states a typical battery capacity of 5,060mAh and says the phone can reach up to 70% charge in about 30 minutes with its 45W USB-C charger, sold separately. That is a manufacturer claim under specified conditions, not a guaranteed result with every charger, temperature or battery level. Google’s 45W charger page identifies the accessory; do not assume it is included with the phone.
Google specifies seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates. The XL’s 6.8-inch size can suit buyers who want a roomy display, but the phone weighs about 7.8 ounces, so shoppers who prefer compact, light devices should handle one before buying if possible. Google describes the Pro XL as the larger 6.8-inch option in the Pixel 9 Pro family on its product page.

Should you buy, wait or skip?
Consider buying if
- The live checkout confirms a substantial discount for the exact storage tier and condition you want.
- The listing clearly establishes that the phone is new, unlocked if required, and compatible with your carrier.
- You have checked the marketplace seller’s return and warranty terms and are comfortable with them.
- You specifically want a large Pixel display, Google’s camera system and its stated software-support period.
Wait or skip if
- The page still says out of stock, or the 32% figure appears only in a headline without matching live prices.
- The apparent saving depends on a trade-in, financing, card benefit or different model than the one being advertised.
- The price is close to a newer-generation Pixel after comparing the same storage, condition and purchase terms.
- You want a direct-from-manufacturer purchase or prefer a smaller, lighter phone.
