The OnePlus 13 Deal That Cut $150: What the 2025 Offer Included—and What to Check Now

That $150-off offer is historical, not a verified deal today. A Phandroid article published August 14, 2025, reported that Amazon was selling an unlocked OnePlus 13 with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for about $850—roughly $150 below its reported usual price. As of August 18, 2026, the offer has not been confirmed as active. Check the current listing, seller, condition, and return terms before treating it as a bargain.

What the reported $150 deal actually was

The original report described an Amazon price of about $850 for the OnePlus 13, apparently the U.S. 16GB RAM/512GB storage configuration. It characterized the reduction as up to $150. The report does not establish a precise sale price, a confirmed regular price, the specific seller or fulfillment method, or whether every color or configuration received the full reduction. Treat the $150 figure as the report’s claim, not a current or independently verified saving. Read the August 14, 2025 Phandroid deal report.

The article is more than a year old. Neither it nor the available official OnePlus product information verifies that the Amazon price remains available on August 18, 2026. A price that can change with seller, color, configuration, or inventory is not proof of a time-limited promotion. Do not rely on the old headline as evidence that a sale is live.

What to verify on a current listing

Before comparing the displayed price with the historical $850 figure, check the product detail page and checkout screen. Amazon listings can change by seller and configuration, and the original report does not settle the following purchase terms:

#1 Best Overall

  • Impossibly Smooth 165Hz Display: Experience extreme smoothness on a 165Hz, 1.5K flagship display powered by our 3200Hz Touch Response Chip for lightning-fast interactions.
  • Our largest-ever 7,400mAh battery:Power up your day with 80W SUPERVOOC charging for power that last all day and beyond.
  • Industry's Most Complete IP Ratings:Backed by the industry's most complete IP ratings, the OnePlus 15R doesn't even blink at dust storms, and shrugs off powerful water blasts.
  • OxygenOS 16 delivers a faster, smoother, and more intuitive experience, with refined design, smarter features, and enhanced performance that keeps up with your day.
  • Exact model and configuration: Confirm it is the U.S. OnePlus 13 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage if that is the configuration you want; the official U.S. specifications also list 12GB/256GB.
  • Condition and seller: Check whether the unit is new, renewed, refurbished, or used, and who sells and ships it. A marketplace listing is not automatically an Amazon-sold or OnePlus-sold product.
  • Price and conditions: Confirm the actual checkout price, any coupon or membership requirement, shipping, and taxes. The 2025 report does not establish a current coupon, required trade-in, card offer, or promotion deadline.
  • Warranty and returns: Read the terms for the specific seller and device. Do not assume a marketplace or imported unit receives the same warranty coverage or return options as a new U.S. retail model.
  • Contents: OnePlus lists a SUPERVOOC adapter and Type-A-to-C cable among the U.S. box contents, but a retailer bundle may differ. Include the cost of a compatible charger if the listing omits it.
  • Unlocked status and carrier fit: Verify that the specific unit is factory unlocked and that your carrier or MVNO accepts its model. “Unlocked” alone does not guarantee network activation or every carrier feature.

If a listing is imported, check its bands, SIM and eSIM behavior, warranty eligibility, software region, and payment compatibility before ordering. The official U.S. specifications list dual nano-SIM and U.S. LTE and 5G bands, but compatibility still depends on the exact model, carrier, provisioning, and regional software. Confirm support with your carrier, especially for an MVNO or a network with specific VoLTE requirements. See OnePlus’s U.S. specifications.

What you get in the OnePlus 13

OnePlus’s U.S. specifications describe a large, high-end Android phone, with hardware that can still make sense for performance-focused buyers if the current price is right:

  • Performance and storage: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, with U.S. configurations of 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The processor and higher-memory configuration offer substantial capacity for demanding apps, gaming, and multitasking, but the specifications alone do not establish comparative benchmark results.
  • Display: A 6.82-inch, 3168 × 1440 LTPO 4.1 screen with a dynamic 1–120Hz refresh rate. Its size and resolution suit video, reading, and games, but the phone is not a compact, one-handed device.
  • Battery and charging: A typical 6,000mAh capacity, implemented as two cells, with 80W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. OnePlus notes that maximum speeds depend on suitable accessories and regional conditions; battery life varies with use, network, brightness, and software.
  • Rear cameras: Three 50MP cameras: a main camera with a Sony LYT-808 sensor, f/1.6 aperture, and optical image stabilization; a 3× optical telephoto with a Sony LYT-600 sensor and OIS; and an ultrawide. Rear video modes reach up to 8K/30fps or 4K/60fps, with available modes depending on camera and stabilization settings.
  • Durability: OnePlus claims IP68 and IP69 ratings for the North American model. These ratings describe resistance under test conditions; they do not make the phone waterproof, and OnePlus excludes liquid damage from warranty coverage. Do not charge the phone while it is wet. See the official OnePlus 13 page.

OnePlus’s specifications identify OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 as the reference software. That is not a guarantee of the software version installed on a device bought in 2026 or of its remaining support period. Check the seller’s update status and OnePlus’s current support information before buying if long-term updates are a priority.

Is about $850 still attractive in 2026?

At the historical reported price, the appeal was a combination of a flagship-class processor, a high-resolution 120Hz display, 16GB/512GB configuration, large battery, fast wired and wireless charging, and a dedicated optical-zoom camera. An unlocked U.S. model could also offer more flexibility than a carrier-financed promotion.

But a 2025 flagship should be judged against the alternatives available at the time of purchase, not only against its original price. Current prices for newer OnePlus phones, the OnePlus 13R, Pixel and Galaxy models, or iPhones are not established here, so compare live prices and support commitments rather than assuming the old discount makes this the best value.

Option Why compare it What to verify
Newer OnePlus flagship May offer a newer generation and more remaining support time. Current model, price, and support terms; no current comparison price is established.
OnePlus 13R A lower-cost OnePlus alternative with a different display and camera package and a less advanced platform. OnePlus presented it as the more affordable member of the series. Current price and whether its performance and camera trade-offs suit you. OnePlus launch announcement.
Google Pixel Worth comparing if camera processing and Google software features matter more than OnePlus charging performance. Current model, price, and support period.
Samsung Galaxy S-series Worth comparing if you prioritize Samsung’s software experience, ecosystem, or broad carrier availability. Current model, price, and the support and carrier terms for the exact device.
iPhone A more natural comparison for someone already invested in Apple’s ecosystem. Whether iOS and Apple services fit your needs; it is not a direct Android substitute.

Who should consider it—and who should pass

It may fit if you want

  • High-end Android performance for games, demanding apps, or heavy multitasking.
  • A large, sharp, adaptive-refresh display and generous storage.
  • A high-capacity battery with rapid wired and wireless charging.
  • An unlocked phone, provided the exact U.S. model works with your carrier.

Look elsewhere if you need

  • A compact phone or easy one-handed use.
  • The longest possible remaining software-support window, without first checking current support terms.
  • Camera processing you already prefer from Pixel or iPhone models.
  • Guaranteed compatibility with a particular carrier or MVNO without checking that carrier’s device and activation requirements.
  • A purchase with clear U.S. warranty and return protection if the listing is imported or sold by an unfamiliar marketplace seller.

Bottom line: buy only after checking the live offer

The OnePlus 13 has strong hardware, but the specific “$150 less” claim refers to an August 14, 2025 report—not a deal verified on August 18, 2026. Consider it only if a current listing confirms the configuration you want, a new U.S. unit, factory-unlocked status, credible warranty and return terms, and a price that compares well with newer alternatives. If it is renewed or imported without clear support, missing the charger, incompatible with your carrier, or priced close to newer flagships, the historical discount is not enough reason to buy.
