That report does not establish which legacy customers were moved or when. To find out whether your T-Mobile bill will go up, check the plan and total cost shown for your own account and any notice T-Mobile sent you.
What did T-Mobile reportedly change?
Ground News summarized a PhoneArena report published June 18, 2025, saying T-Mobile was expected to retire tax-inclusive versions of almost all plans. This was secondary reporting, not an official T-Mobile notice listing affected plan codes or confirming a migration schedule. The phrase “nearly all” should therefore be understood as the report’s description, not a verified list of every plan or customer affected. Read the Ground News summary of the report.
As of October 8, 2026, the available information does not establish whether a particular legacy customer’s plan was changed, or when. Current public plan listings describe what T-Mobile advertises now; they do not prove what happened to an existing account.
Are T-Mobile’s current plans tax-inclusive?
Current public listings commonly show plan prices with taxes and fees charged separately. That applies to the current Experience plan page and the listed Connect and other prepaid plans. These pages are useful when considering a new plan, but they cannot tell you the terms or migration history of your own legacy plan.

How to check whether your plan includes taxes and fees
- Open your bill. Note the recurring service price and identify taxes and fees as separate line items, if they appear.
- Check your account’s plan-management view. T-Mobile distinguishes plans where taxes and fees are included from plans where they are excluded. Review the plan name and cost shown for your line rather than relying on a general new-customer offer. T-Mobile account plan management.
- Read any plan-change notice. Look for the effective date, the replacement plan, and the account-specific price. Compare the notice with your bill and account view.
- Ask T-Mobile if the information conflicts or is unclear. The plan-management page directs customers to customer care for certain changes. Ask which plan is active on your account, whether taxes and fees are included, and what recurring total will apply.
Will your T-Mobile bill go up?
It depends on the plan and any account-specific change. If your current plan includes taxes and fees, a replacement plan that charges them separately could raise the total bill. But the 2025 report does not confirm that every legacy customer received such a change, and a current public price page cannot establish that your account was migrated.
Compare the recurring service charge and taxes and fees separately, then compare the resulting total with your prior bill. Do not estimate the increase using a typical tax percentage: the available sources do not establish one that applies to all customers.

What T-Mobile’s terms say about surcharges and notice
T-Mobile’s legal terms say applicable surcharges may change and describe a 14-day notice policy for service or rate-plan changes that have a material adverse effect, subject to the terms. That language alone does not determine how a particular price guarantee applies to your plan or whether a notice you received satisfies the terms. Check the documents for your plan and the notice sent to your account before drawing a conclusion. T-Mobile terms and conditions.
