Yes, T-Mobile has a public “3rd Line Free” offer, but it is for qualifying new accounts—not a guaranteed free line for every existing customer. The standard offer requires at least three voice lines on an eligible plan and ongoing eligibility for monthly bill credits. Existing customers may see separate targeted offers, but only the terms shown for their account can establish whether they qualify.
Who qualifies for T-Mobile’s public third-line-free offer?
T-Mobile’s public offer is for customers activating a new account with at least three voice lines on an eligible regular-rate plan. Its plan FAQ names Essentials, Experience More, and Experience Beyond. The offer covers one voice line per account; it is not a discount for a data-only line. See T-Mobile’s plan FAQ for the published terms.
The bill credit is monthly. To keep the promotional pricing, the credited line must remain active, and the account must continue to have an eligible plan and at least three active lines. If the account no longer meets the offer’s requirements, the credits may stop. Read the terms attached to the offer before changing plans or canceling a line.
Restrictions on combining offers
T-Mobile says this standard promotion may be combined with most other promotions, but not with another free or discounted voice-line offer or with its 55+, Military & Veteran, and First Responder discounted plans. A customer on one of those discounted plans should not assume they can add the public third-line promotion.

Can existing T-Mobile customers get a free line?
Possibly, if T-Mobile has made a separate targeted offer available to their account. The public third-line page does not establish that any particular existing customer has such an offer, and its new-account requirements should not be applied to every campaign.
Community discussions have described targeted free-line offers and a reported 2026 buy-one-get-one service promotion. Those reports are not official confirmation of current eligibility or terms. Treat them as leads to check—not as a promise that an offer is available, or that reported requirements apply to your account.

Public third-line offer versus reported targeted offers
| Offer type | Who it may be for | What is established | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public 3rd Line Free | Qualifying new accounts | T-Mobile’s FAQ lists Essentials, Experience More, and Experience Beyond, requires at least three voice lines, and describes monthly credits subject to ongoing eligibility. | Eligible plan, line count, account status, and the exact terms displayed when enrolling. |
| Targeted free-line offer | Some existing customers, if an offer appears on their account | Community users have reported campaign terms, but those reports do not verify a current offer for every customer. | Whether your account is targeted; eligible plan and lines; existing free-line limits; fees; and credit-continuation rules. |
| Reported BOGO service offer | Potentially customers meeting campaign-specific requirements | A July 2026 Reddit post reported an offer identified as ID260677; it was not confirmed on an official T-Mobile source. | Whether the offer is actually available to you, the required lines and plan, and all account and line-maintenance conditions. |
For the public offer’s official conditions, consult the T-Mobile plan FAQ. The reported BOGO discussion is at r/tmobile; it is community context, not authoritative offer documentation.
How to check whether an offer applies to you
- Sign in to your T-Mobile account in T-Life and look for an offer attached specifically to your account. If you are considering the public promotion, compare it with the terms on T-Mobile’s plan FAQ.
- Save or screenshot the complete offer details before enrolling. Confirm whether it is a new-account promotion or a targeted existing-customer offer.
- Check the eligible plan, required number and type of active lines, and whether existing free lines affect eligibility.
- Read how long credits continue and what happens if you cancel a line, change plans, or otherwise stop meeting the requirements.
- Ask T-Mobile to confirm any taxes, regulatory fees, activation or device connection charges, and whether the offer can be combined with your existing service or device promotions.
Do not rely on a promotional name or a community post alone: the account-specific written terms are what matter for a targeted offer.

A free line is not the same as a free phone
A free-line promotion applies to wireless service. T-Mobile lists select smartphone deals separately, with their own qualifying-credit, service, and monthly device-bill-credit conditions. A free-line offer does not by itself include a free handset, and a phone purchase is not a requirement for checking line eligibility. See T-Mobile’s offers page for its separate device promotions.
