Contemporaneous reports put the deal valuation at $10.7 billion, citing people familiar with the transaction; Swiggy confirmed the financing, not an audited valuation figure. The $10.7 billion figure describes that 2022 deal, not Swiggy’s current valuation.
How much did Swiggy raise, and who led the round?
The company announced the closing of a $700 million Series K on January 24, 2022, with Invesco as lead investor. The Economic Times reported the closing based on Swiggy’s confirmation. TechCrunch’s January 24 report and The Economic Times’ January 25 report both covered the round.

Other participating investors
Reports named a mix of new and existing investors. TechCrunch listed Baron Capital Group, Sumeru Ventures, IIFL AMC Late Stage Tech Fund, Kotak, Axis, Sixteenth Street Capital, Ghisallo, Smile Group and Segantii Capital among the participants. Existing backers Prosus, Alpha Wave Global, Qatar Investment Authority and ARK Impact also participated. Investor-name spellings vary slightly across contemporary accounts.
What did the $10.7 billion valuation mean?
Contemporary reporting attributed the $10.7 billion figure to people familiar with the transaction. TechCrunch cited a source familiar with the matter, while The Economic Times cited two people aware of deal details. It is therefore best understood as the reported valuation attached to the financing, not a valuation Swiggy publicly audited or independently established in its announcement.

For historical comparison, TechCrunch reported that Swiggy had been valued at $5.5 billion in July 2021. Those figures describe reported valuations at two separate private financing rounds. They do not establish a valuation methodology, an investment return, a current company valuation or a public-market share price.
Why was Instamart part of the funding story?
Swiggy was building Instamart, its quick-commerce service, alongside its food-delivery business. The Economic Times reported that co-founder and chief executive Sriharsha Majety said Swiggy was committing $700 million to Instamart, describing plans to expand into more categories. That was a separate business commitment—not the definition of the $700 million raised in the Series K.

In a December 2025 corporate release, Swiggy identified itself as Swiggy Limited, with BSE and NSE identifiers, and said it had completed a ₹10,000 crore qualified institutional placement (QIP). This is a later capital-raising event, distinct from the 2022 Series K. The release does not state a current valuation. Swiggy’s corporate site published the later update.
