Since then, the company has released partner-based and original games across additional platforms.
What Super Evil Megacorp announced in 2023
Super Evil Megacorp is an independent game developer and publisher known for Vainglory, Catalyst Black and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. Its stated aim is to build shared gaming experiences, and it says its proprietary EVIL Engine is a cross-platform C++ engine. The company’s portfolio and engine description are on its official site.

In an August 18, 2023 update, then-CEO Kristian Segerstrale described a strategy combining original intellectual property with work alongside major entertainment partners, including bringing games to more platforms. He wrote: “We have historically focused on creating and building original IP. This remains a core tenet of our studio and we continue to work hard in this space.” The partner projects were presented as an addition to that work, not a replacement for it.
At the time, the company said it had more than 100 developers across 15 countries and operated as an all-remote studio. That is a workforce figure reported in 2023, not a current headcount.

What the UK office means
The UK presence was part of a distributed organization, rather than evidence of a conventional, permanently staffed studio office. The company said it had opened a UK entity, had UK-based team members and held monthly in-person meetups. It described the entity as a way to support new product development, shared studio work and growth in UK developer headcount.
Segerstrale called it “a new focus on the UK game industry talent pool for us through the opening of our UK entity.” The legal record confirms the company’s UK incorporation: Companies House lists SUPER EVIL MEGA CORP UK LIMITED as incorporated on August 11, 2023, active, and registered at a London office. Its listed business activity is development of ready-made interactive leisure and entertainment software. A registered office and legal entity do not, by themselves, establish a staffed walk-in workplace.

What happened after the announcement
Later releases show the studio continuing both partner-related and established game work. Super Evil Megacorp’s company timeline records these milestones:
- September 2024: Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game was announced following its reveal at Netflix Geeked Week.
- July 2025: The company says Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game was released as a co-op action game exclusive to Netflix members.
- September 2025: The timeline records TMNT: Splintered Fate reaching retail on Switch, PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X.
- April 2026: The company announced that TMNT: Splintered Fate had sold one million copies. This is a company-reported milestone, not an independently audited figure.
- August 2026: The timeline lists the game’s The King’s Gambit update.
The company’s current site describes Blood Line: Rebel Moon as action co-op and TMNT: Splintered Fate as a co-op roguelike. It also lists Catalyst Black as a battleground shooter and Vainglory as a touch-focused MOBA. Release timing and platform listings are company-published information; check the relevant game storefront for current regional availability.

Who leads the company now?
Segerstrale’s 2023 statement describes the company’s plans at that time, not its current leadership. On January 13, 2025, Super Evil Megacorp announced that Ian Fielding had been named CEO and that Segerstrale would move to Executive Chair. See the company’s leadership announcement for that change.

The games differ in genre and distribution: Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game is a co-op action title tied to Netflix membership, while TMNT: Splintered Fate is a co-op roguelike with company-recorded releases on Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.
