Shares to watch on October 7, 2026, include rate-sensitive stocks and companies in the news for operating updates, investment plans or contract activity. These are session-specific developments reported by Upstox—not buy recommendations or evidence that a stock will rise. The RBI rate item reflects expectations at the time, not a confirmed policy decision.

Upstox’s October 7 roundup named rate-sensitive shares, Titan Company, Blue Dart, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL), Mphasis and HCLTech as potentially in focus. The items below explain what was reported and why investors might follow the developments; operating news alone does not establish its effect on a share price.

Why rate-sensitive stocks were in focus

Upstox said investors were watching for an RBI monetary policy decision and reported expectations of a 25-basis-point repo-rate increase to 5.50%. The article described that as the first increase since February 2023. This was a contemporaneous market expectation, not confirmation of the RBI’s eventual decision.

Borrowing costs can matter to real estate, auto, consumer durables and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), through effects on financing costs, loan demand and customers’ ability to borrow. The impact is not uniform: for financial firms, funding profiles, loan mix and the ability to reprice loans can change how a rate move affects earnings. Investors should distinguish this general sensitivity from a company-specific forecast.

Company developments reported on October 7

Titan Company: quarterly growth and store additions

Upstox reported 25% year-on-year growth in Titan’s consumer businesses in Q2 FY27. It also reported 78 net stores added during the quarter and a combined retail network of 3,758 stores as of September 2026. Domestic growth was reported at 22%, compared with 97% international growth. These figures are attributed to Upstox; they are not independently confirmed here against Titan’s original company update.

Blue Dart: named in the roundup

Blue Dart appeared in the roundup’s headline, but the available report details do not establish a specific Blue Dart development. No catalyst or operating figure should be inferred from its inclusion alone.

Rank #2

Utkarsh Small Finance Bank: disbursements and loan portfolio

Upstox reported Q2 FY27 disbursements of ₹3,525 crore, up 54.9% year over year from ₹2,275 crore and 4.6% sequentially from ₹3,370 crore. It also reported a gross loan portfolio of ₹20,063 crore, compared with ₹18,655 crore a year earlier and ₹19,610 crore in Q1 FY27. These are reported operating figures, not a standalone assessment of asset quality, profitability or future share performance.

GCPL: first phase of an Indonesia facility

Upstox reported that Godrej Consumer Products’ Indonesia arm opened the first phase of a manufacturing facility in the Kendal Special Economic Zone. The project was described as part of an investment of about ₹250 crore (IDR 500 billion). Phase one covers 2.5 hectares of a 5.5-hectare site and is dedicated to household insecticides.

Mphasis: Social Security Scotland contract extension

Upstox reported a £35.4 million extension of Mphasis’s work with Social Security Scotland to manage and maintain a benefits-management platform. The report identifies the contract extension, but does not provide enough detail to assess its contribution to future revenue or margins.

HCLTech: separate the listed company from the group announcement

Upstox reported an HCL Group announcement of a planned ₹500 crore expansion of HCL IT City in Lucknow, with capacity of up to 9.5 lakh square feet and space for 4,500 technology professionals. It also reported the launch of an HCL-GUVI Emerging Technology Centre. The campus announcement is attributed to HCL Group; it should not be treated as a direct HCLTech contract or financial result merely because HCLTech was named in the stock roundup.

How to read this watchlist

  • Separate attention from direction: “In focus” means a development may draw market attention; it does not say whether a share will gain or lose.
  • Distinguish expectations from outcomes: the RBI rate figure in the roundup was an expectation at publication, not a verified decision.
  • Check the underlying disclosure: the operating and contract figures above are attributed to Upstox. For investment decisions, consult the relevant company announcement or filing and assess how material the development is to the business.
  • Keep the date in view: this is an October 7, 2026 session roundup, not a standing list of stocks to watch on later dates.
