Yes. Mars Wrigley confirmed that it discontinued Starburst in Australia from June 2022. The company cited supply-chain difficulties and rising costs for products imported from Europe. The decision applies to Australia; it did not mean Starburst disappeared worldwide.
Why did Starburst disappear from Australian shops?
The confirmation followed a TikTok post by Sydney creator Nariman Dein, who said she could no longer find the lollies in local stores and wondered whether they had quietly disappeared. ABC News reported that her video had attracted about 276,000 views at the time of its 10 August 2022 report; that figure is a historical view count, not evidence of national demand. ABC News
A Mars Wrigley spokesperson told ABC that Starburst products were imported from Europe and that the brand had faced supply-chain difficulties and rising cost pressures over the preceding two years. The spokesperson said the company had reviewed its options before deciding to discontinue the brand in Australia from June 2022. ABC News
Does the discontinuation mean Starburst cannot be found in Australia?
Not necessarily. The Guardian reported that specialty shops or parallel importers might still carry imported packs after the discontinuation. That was a possibility, not confirmation of current stock. The sources available do not establish which Australian retailers currently have Starburst or what they charge. The Guardian

No Australian return is established. Mars announced that Starburst Original fruit chews, along with certain other products without FD&C colors, would become available on Amazon in the United States starting in August 2026. That announcement concerns US products and availability; it does not confirm an Australian relaunch, Australian stock, or shipping to Australia. Mars Global
