SSC’s displayed calendar listed the 2026 examination at June 30, but that calendar entry did not state an application closing date.
What SSC’s official information says about the deadline
The SSC homepage information observed on October 8, 2026 included an October 7 additional-result notice for the 2025 MTS and Havaldar examination. It also displayed the 2026 MTS examination at June 30. Neither item establishes that applications for the 2026 examination are open or that they close October 9. Check SSC’s live notice board and application portal before acting; the portal is the authority for any current deadline.

Do not mistake the 2025 dates for a current deadline
SSC’s notice for the 2025 Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination stated that applications ran from June 26 through July 24, 2025, closing at 23:00. Online fee payment was available through July 25, 2025, at 23:00. These are historical dates, not confirmed 2026 dates. Read SSC’s 2025 examination notice.

How to check whether you can apply
- Open SSC’s official website and check the current notice board for a notice specifically covering the MTS and Havaldar examination you intend to apply for.
- Open the notice and verify the application dates, closing time and time zone, fee-payment cutoff, eligibility rules, and application link. Do not infer an application deadline from an examination date or a result notice.
- Use the application link provided by SSC. If no current notice or application form confirms an open window, do not treat October 9 as a verified last day.
- If the form is available and you are eligible, follow the notice’s instructions and submit well before the stated cutoff. Save the confirmation and check the completed form using Preview/Print.
If a current application window is confirmed
Do not wait until the final hours. In its 2025 notice, SSC warned that heavy website traffic near closing could cause disconnection or prevent applicants from logging in or submitting. That warning concerned the 2025 notice, but it is a practical reason to avoid leaving an application until the deadline.
Before finishing, use Preview/Print to inspect the completed form, including your personal details, photograph, and signature, as advised in the 2025 notice. For a 2026 application, follow the current notice and form instructions if they differ.
