The SSC MTS/Havaldar 2024 application window is closed. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) extended the original deadline from 31 July to 3 August 2024 at 11:00 p.m. The 9,583-post figure was reported as an interim total in August 2024 coverage; SSC’s final result write-up later recorded 11,518 vacancies.

What was the final SSC MTS/Havaldar 2024 application deadline?

SSC opened applications on 27 June 2024 and initially set the closing time for 31 July at 11:00 p.m. Its deadline-extension notice changed the closing time to 3 August 2024 at 11:00 p.m. The Commission said it was extending the closing date and time for online applications from 31 July to 3 August.

That application window has ended; the 2024 deadline is not an active invitation to apply. SSC’s homepage is the place to check for notices about later recruitment cycles: ssc.gov.in.

How did the 9,583 figure compare with the final vacancy total?

The totals refer to different stages of the recruitment process, not competing final counts. SSC’s initial notice listed tentative vacancies, India Today reported an interim increase, and SSC’s final result write-up recorded the final total.
