SSC CGL 2022 revised schedule
A contemporaneous Hindustan Times report gave the revised application and payment dates as follows:

The report also reproduced the notice’s clarification that October 13, 2022—the new application closing date—would be used as the closing date for determining eligibility. These are dates from the 2022 cycle, not deadlines for a current SSC recruitment.
What the extension changed
The 2022 notification had originally set the online application period from September 17 through 11 p.m. on October 8. The extension moved the application cutoff to October 13 and, according to the contemporaneous report, adjusted the related fee-payment and correction dates as shown above.

SSC’s official notices index records an Important Notice for CGL 2022 uploaded on October 8, 2022. The index confirms that a notice was posted; the revised dates listed here are attributed to the Hindustan Times report, which reported the schedule as coming from SSC.
Can you still apply for SSC CGL 2022?
No. SSC’s application page marks the CGL 2022 application inactive. The SSC page also directs users to its newer portal for current notices and applications. Anyone interested in a later CGL cycle should check the current SSC notice and portal rather than rely on 2022 dates or eligibility terms.

For historical context, the reproduced 2022 notification says applications had to be submitted online. It listed an application fee of ₹100, with exemptions for women, SC, ST, PwD, and eligible ex-servicemen. These requirements belonged to the 2022 notice and should not be treated as instructions for a later cycle.
The notice described CGL 2022 as involving Tier-I and Tier-II computer-based examinations, a descriptive Tier-III paper, and Tier-IV skill tests. That outline is specific to the 2022 examination scheme.
