Forbes lists “Spiro Latsis & family” at $3.8 billion in Real Time Net Worth as of September 11, 2026. That is a family-level estimate, not a separately itemized figure for Spiro Latsis alone, and it may change over time.

What Forbes’ $3.8 billion estimate includes

Forbes attributes the estimate to “Spiro Latsis & family.” Its profile does not break out Spiro’s individual share or describe the amount as an audited personal balance sheet. For that reason, the most precise answer to “Spiros Latsis net worth” is the dated Forbes family estimate, rather than a claim that Spiro personally owns $3.8 billion.

Forbes says Spiro inherited the fortune of his father, Greek shipping tycoon John S. Latsis, alongside his siblings Marianna and Margarita. It also says the siblings split the family fortune in 2019. In that division, John and Margarita took over investments in banking and real estate, including stakes in EFG International and Lamda Development. Forbes does not provide an individual valuation for Spiro in the cited profile. Forbes’ Spiro Latsis & family profile

How the family fortune developed

The Latsis family’s wealth grew from shipping and oil transportation and later extended into private banking, according to the history published by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation. That history says Euromerchant Bank was established in Greece in 1990 and later developed into Eurobank EFG. It provides historical context, not a current valuation of Spiro’s or the family’s holdings. John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation history

Spiro Latsis’s connection to EFG International

EFG International’s board biography lists Spiro J. Latsis as a member of its Board of Directors. The biography gives his birth year as 1946 and his nationality as Greek. A board role establishes a corporate connection; it does not, by itself, show the value or ownership share of any investment. EFG International board biography for John Spiro Latsis
