Spire Missouri Inc. Prices $350 Million of 6.200% First Mortgage Bonds Due 2036

Spire Missouri’s preliminary supplement names first mortgage bonds due 2036, but its incomplete text does not verify the title’s $350 million amount or 6.200% coupon.

The title describes a $350 million Spire Missouri Inc. bond offering with a 6.200% coupon and a 2036 maturity. However, the available SEC document is a preliminary prospectus supplement dated October 5, 2026, marked “Subject to Completion”; its retrieved text leaves the offering amount and interest rate blank. Those headline terms are therefore not confirmed by that preliminary filing.

What the preliminary filing establishes

The issuer named in the supplement is Spire Missouri Inc., and the securities are first mortgage bonds due 2036. Spire Missouri’s shelf prospectus explains that details for a specific offering are provided in the applicable prospectus supplement. The preliminary supplement does not establish the final amount or coupon for this series. See the preliminary supplement and the shelf prospectus.

Which terms remain unconfirmed

The available preliminary text does not verify the title’s $350 million amount or 6.200% rate. It also does not establish the final issue price or yield, closing date, interest-payment schedule, or use of proceeds. A final pricing filing or completed prospectus supplement is needed to confirm those transaction-specific terms.

How the 2025 bond issue differs

Spire Missouri’s earlier financing provides context about the issuer, not the terms of the 2036 bonds. In its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Spire Inc. reported that Spire Missouri issued $200 million of first mortgage bonds on October 23, 2025: $150 million at 4.60% due September 15, 2030, and $50 million at 4.65% due January 15, 2031. The filing said those earlier bonds ranked equally with other existing and future senior secured debt under the mortgage, were secured by a first mortgage lien on substantially all of Spire Missouri’s real properties subject to limited exceptions, and that proceeds were used for general corporate purposes. Those terms should not be assumed to apply to the 2036 series. Read the Form 10-Q.

Why the filing status matters

A preliminary supplement is not the completed statement of an offering’s terms. The October 5, 2026 document is expressly marked “SUBJECT TO COMPLETION,” and the retrieved text leaves key pricing fields blank. Spire Missouri is the named issuer; Spire Inc. is its parent, and the parent’s filing supplies historical context rather than final pricing for this bond series.
