ByteXL raised $9 million in a Series B funding round led by Elevar Equity, with existing investors Kalaari Capital and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation participating, according to The Economic Times’ October 7, 2026 print-edition report. The report says ByteXL plans to use the funding to expand across India and invest in AI-led learning tools.

Who invested in ByteXL’s $9 million round?

The Economic Times report identifies Elevar Equity as the lead investor. Existing investors Kalaari Capital and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation also participated. The report is the source for the round amount, investor list and stated plans; the sources available for this article did not include a funding announcement from ByteXL or an investor.

The report does not state a valuation, security or other deal terms, exact closing date, or a detailed allocation of the proceeds.

What does ByteXL do?

ByteXL describes itself as an education-technology company focused on helping engineering colleges combine curriculum, learning content, practical work and employability preparation. Its current approach differs from its original model: on its About page, the company says it began in 2020 with a student-focused technology-skilling subscription and shifted direction in late 2022 after identifying gaps in college curricula, faculty exposure to industry and learning platforms.

ByteXL hosts a testimonial from Sumit Premi, identified as Flipkart’s Director, TA, about Nimbus and technology’s potential role in bridging the industry–academia gap; that statement is a testimonial on ByteXL’s site, not an independent product evaluation.
