Official records confirm TCS’s ₹46 special dividend and JSW Dulux’s ₹156 special interim dividend. The reviewed filings do not confirm the reported special-dividend amounts for Premco Global, Honda India Power Products, Indo Borax & Chemicals or Majestic Auto.
Which special dividend claims are confirmed?
Dividend type and status matter: an interim dividend is not automatically a special dividend, and a proposed final dividend is not yet a declared payout. The records below distinguish confirmed declarations from claims that remain unverified.

| Company | What the reviewed records establish | Status and record-date details |
|---|---|---|
| Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) | ₹46 per share special dividend, separate from an ₹11 per share interim dividend in Q3 FY2025-26. | Declared and paid; record date 17 January 2026, actual payment date 3 February 2026. TCS dividend history and NSE corporate actions distinguish the two dividend types. |
| JSW Dulux (formerly Akzo Nobel India Limited) | ₹156 per share special interim dividend for FY2025-26. A separate ₹50 per share final dividend was recommended. | The special interim dividend is recorded in the company’s FY2025-26 annual report. The proposed final dividend remains subject to shareholder approval; together, the two amounts make a recommended annual total of ₹206 per share. See the annual report and 13 May 2026 board outcome. |
| Premco Global | The reviewed 30 July 2025 filing records a ₹4 per share first interim dividend. It does not establish the reported special dividend. | Filing records 8 August 2025 as the record date for the first interim dividend; the special-dividend amount and date are unverified. The secondary report is internally inconsistent, giving ₹35 in its table and ₹36 in its text. See the company filing dated 30 July 2025. |
| Honda India Power Products | The reviewed filing declares a ₹100 per share interim dividend for FY2025-26, not the reported ₹10 special dividend. | Record date: 21 August 2025. The ₹10 special-dividend claim was not verified and could refer to a separate event. See the board outcome dated 12 August 2025. |
| Indo Borax & Chemicals | Named in the report, but no corresponding primary declaration was confirmed in the records reviewed. | Special-dividend amount, declaration status, record date and payment date are unverified. |
| Majestic Auto | Named in the report, but no corresponding primary declaration was confirmed in the records reviewed. | Special-dividend amount, declaration status, record date and payment date are unverified. |
The Mint report’s title says five firms, while its body and table name six: TCS, JSW Dulux, Indo Borax & Chemicals, Premco Global, Majestic Auto and Honda India Power Products. Its company list is a lead, not sufficient evidence for every dividend type or amount. Read the report.
What the confirmed payouts mean
TCS: special and interim are separate payments
TCS’s dividend history records both a ₹46 special dividend and a separate ₹11 interim dividend for Q3 FY2025-26. The ₹46 figure is not the quarter’s entire dividend when both events are considered. TCS describes its usual pattern as quarterly interim dividends, year-end final dividends and occasional special dividends.

JSW Dulux: separate declared and proposed amounts
JSW Dulux’s ₹156 special interim dividend should not be conflated with its ₹50 proposed final dividend. The company’s 13 May 2026 board outcome described ₹206 per share as the recommended total for FY2025-26, combining the special amount with the proposed final amount. The latter is subject to shareholder approval. Chairman Parth Jindal said the special dividend, “together with the special dividend of ₹156/- per share, takes the recommended total dividend for the financial year 2025-26 to ₹206/- per share.”

- Dividend type: Confirm whether the filing calls it special, interim or final. Do not infer “special” from a large amount or a news headline.
- Amount per share: Match the declared figure to the primary notice. If reports disagree—as they do for Premco Global—do not choose one without the original declaration.
- Declaration status: Separate an approved or declared payout from a proposed dividend that still requires shareholder approval.
- Record date: Check the date specified by the company for determining eligible shareholders; a record date for one dividend does not establish a different dividend event.
- Payment date: Where the company reports it, distinguish the payment date from the record date.
For the less-verified company claims, the exact special-dividend amount, declaration date, record date and payment date are not established by the filings described here. An official company or exchange announcement is needed to confirm those particulars.
