You must book by October 8, 2026, for qualifying travel from October 26, 2026, through March 3, 2027. The offer is limited, and the discount does not apply to government taxes and fees. Southwest’s official offers page gives the controlling terms; check your itinerary and final price before booking.
Is there a Southwest 40% off promo code?
No code is specified for this offer. Southwest says the discount is automatically applied to qualifying flights, so check the fare displayed for your selected itinerary rather than entering a code from an older promotion.

What are the booking and travel dates?
- Book by: October 8, 2026, the deadline listed on Southwest’s offer page as accessed that day.
- Travel: October 26, 2026, through March 3, 2027, on select flights.
This is a deadline-day promotion, and the stated booking deadline has passed after October 8, 2026. The dates above describe the offer as Southwest listed it on October 8; do not assume it remains bookable afterward.
What does “up to 40% off base fares” mean?
Forty percent is the maximum advertised discount, not a guaranteed reduction for every flight or passenger. Southwest limits the promotion to select flights, and the page says restrictions, exclusions and blackout dates apply, with limited seats, days and markets. The discount is calculated before government taxes and fees, so it does not reduce the entire final ticket price by 40%.

How to check whether your itinerary qualifies
- Open Southwest’s official offers page and verify the promotion is still available. Its published deadline is October 8, 2026.
- Search your actual origin, destination and dates within the stated travel window on Southwest.
- Review the fare shown for each eligible itinerary and confirm that the offer is reflected automatically; no code is listed for this promotion.
- Compare the final displayed price, including taxes and fees, and choose only an itinerary that fits your travel plans. Seat and date availability is limited.
Southwest’s offer page does not publish a complete route-by-route eligibility list or a typical customer saving. Sample fares shown there are examples for selected routes, not a guarantee that another route will qualify or cost the same.
