What PlayStation Flex is—and who provides it
PlayStation Flex is the name of a UK-facing PS5 lease offered through Raylo. PlayStation Support describes Raylo as a “UK leasing company and trusted partner of PlayStation.” The lease agreement is with Raylo, not Sony; PlayStation says Raylo handles transactions, communications, support, technical questions and warranty concerns. Raylo’s PlayStation Flex storefront displays configurations and example options including monthly rolling, 12-, 24- and 36-month terms. Its advertised prices and features can change, so check the live listing and the agreement before relying on a particular payment, eligibility condition or offer. Do you own the PS5 after leasing it?
No—not through the lease itself. PlayStation Support states, “No, this is a lease agreement with our partner Raylo.” At the end of the fixed term, the listed choices are to return or upgrade the console. You may also have the option to buy it, but that depends on Raylo’s discretion and the price Raylo offers at that time. Do not assume that making every monthly payment transfers ownership. Will the PS5 lease come to the US?
The official Sony materials reviewed establish a UK service, not a US one. They do not announce US availability or a launch date, so US expansion is unknown—not promised. The fact that Sony publishes US console prices does not establish that a Raylo lease is available to US customers.

How to compare leasing with buying
Do not compare a monthly lease payment with a console’s full purchase price and stop there. The lease’s term, end-of-term choices and risk terms affect what you get for your money. For any decision, use the current Raylo offer and agreement alongside current purchase prices.

- Ownership: Buying outright gives you the console; leasing does not automatically transfer ownership. A possible end-of-term purchase is discretionary and priced later by Raylo.
- Flexibility: Compare the monthly rolling and fixed-term choices shown in the live offer, along with the actual rules for ending, returning or upgrading.
- Warranty and damage: PlayStation Support describes a lifetime warranty while the customer is an up-to-date paying customer, subject to exclusions including customer-caused or accidental damage. Check Raylo’s full current terms for the coverage, exclusions and any treatment of loss or theft.
- Eligibility and geography: The verified service is UK-facing. Do not treat a UK listing as an option for US customers.
What to verify before signing
- Open the PlayStation Flex storefront and confirm the console configuration, term and current payment for the offer you are considering.
- Read the Raylo agreement for the full payment schedule, eligibility requirements, return and upgrade rules, and any applicable fees or insurance.
- Check the warranty, damage exclusions and return-condition requirements in the current terms; direct technical and warranty questions to Raylo, as PlayStation Support instructs.
- Compare the total lease payments and end-of-term outcome with the current price of buying the same configuration. Do not count on owning the leased console unless Raylo actually offers and you accept a purchase option.
