Because television promotions change quickly, it would be misleading to repeat those dollar amounts as though they were available in August 2026. Stock, delivery charges, third-party sellers, return policies and the exact model number can all change after a deal article is published.

If you are shopping now, use the retailer’s current checkout page and compare the exact SKU—not just the screen size or brand. A 55-inch television can have several versions with different panels, refresh rates, operating systems, speakers and ports.
Where to look for legitimate current Roku offers
Roku currently directs shoppers to its Roku TV Offers page and its Roku TV Deal Finder, rather than maintaining a year-round Cyber Monday promotion.
Be careful with the word “Roku.” Roku makes some branded televisions, but it also licenses the Roku TV platform to other manufacturers. A TCL Roku TV, for example, is not the same product line as a Roku-branded Select Series model.

Roku’s own product information separates models such as Select Series QLED, Select Series 4K and Select Series HD. HD models are available in sizes including 24, 32 and 40 inches, while specifications such as HDR support and Roku OS version depend on the individual SKU. Check those details before comparing prices.

- Record the exact model number. The listing title may say “Samsung 65-inch 4K TV,” but the model code identifies the panel, processor, ports and included features.
- Compare recent prices. Look at price-history data or several major retailers. A large percentage-off label is not proof that the current price is unusually low.
- Calculate the delivered total. Add sales tax, shipping, haul-away, installation, wall mounting, extended warranties and any required accessories.
- Check the seller. Marketplace listings may be sold by a third party with different warranty and return arrangements from the retailer hosting the page.
- Read the return terms. Large electronics can have restocking fees, short holiday return windows or return-shipping requirements that materially reduce the value of a bargain.
- Confirm the specification. Check resolution, HDR formats, refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 ports, gaming features, smart-TV software and voice controls rather than relying on the brand name.

Samsung, LG, Hisense and TCL: compare the model, not only the logo

For Samsung and LG, compare the panel technology, brightness, refresh rate and number of high-bandwidth HDMI ports. For Hisense and TCL, check whether the discounted model is a current range or an older clearance model, and verify the operating system and local-dimming or HDR capabilities promised by the listing.

Two televisions with “4K” in their names may differ substantially in motion handling, contrast, peak brightness and gaming performance. If you mainly watch broadcast television in a bright room, paying for features you will not use may be wasteful. If you own a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or gaming PC, a higher refresh rate and suitable HDMI ports may justify spending more.
Budgeting for a TV purchase
A discount is only affordable if it fits your wider budget. Before browsing, set a maximum all-in cost and decide whether the purchase is replacing a broken television or simply upgrading a working one.
For example, a television advertised at $500 may become a $650 purchase after tax, delivery, mounting and a warranty. If you would need to put that amount on a credit card and carry the balance, the interest can outweigh the advertised saving. “Buy now, pay later” plans also need careful checking: review the annual percentage rate, late-payment consequences and whether missed payments affect your credit.

Do not buy an unwanted add-on to qualify for free shipping, and do not pay for a premium warranty automatically. Compare the warranty’s price with the TV’s cost, the manufacturer’s standard coverage and the exclusions for accidental damage, pixel defects and commercial use.

- Choose two or three acceptable model numbers rather than one “must-have” TV.
- Write down their normal prices and the lowest recent prices.
- Set a personal target price based on the delivered total.
