Solidgate says it simplifies international payments by combining payment orchestration and acquiring with transaction routing, multiple currencies and payment methods, and support for regional requirements. In an October 15, 2024 interview, CEO Kirill Tarnopolskyi also discussed fraud controls, failed-payment retries, and possible shifts such as real-time payments and blockchain. Those are his account and outlook—not independently measured results.

How does Solidgate say it simplifies cross-border payments?

In the TechBullion interview published October 15, 2024, Tarnopolskyi described Solidgate as bringing payment orchestration and acquiring together. In his account, orchestration helps route transactions, while support for multiple currencies and local payment methods gives merchants ways to serve customers in different markets. He also pointed to attention to regional regulations as part of reducing the operational burden on international businesses.

“At Solidgate, we want to make life easier for global businesses by bringing everything under one roof and providing turnkey solutions,” Tarnopolskyi said. The interview presents this as the company’s approach; it does not provide independent comparisons or performance results establishing that the approach is more effective than alternatives.

What does Solidgate offer now?

Solidgate’s About page currently describes the company as a payment orchestration platform for global businesses. The company says it connects to 100+ PSPs and payment methods, and lists global acquiring, billing, fraud and dispute management, tax, and treasury among its capabilities. Solidgate also says its Treasury product connects merchants to SWIFT for international transfers across 200+ countries. These are Solidgate’s own figures and descriptions, accessed in 2026, rather than independently validated measurements.

The same page dates the company’s founding to 2016 and describes later product and partnership developments. That company-history material is separate from Tarnopolskyi’s statements in the 2024 interview.

How does the CEO describe fraud controls and failed-payment retries?

Tarnopolskyi said Solidgate uses machine-learning analysis of user behavior in real time, with risk controls intended to reduce fraud without adding unnecessary checkout friction. He also described retries for failed transactions. One example was a payment that fails 3-D Secure authentication: the system might retry using a different version or route the transaction through another acquirer.

The interview does not publish independent data on fraud rates, approval rates, recovery rates, or the effect of these techniques on checkout completion. Merchants evaluating a payment provider would need results and operating details relevant to their own markets and transaction mix.

What does Tarnopolskyi expect to change in cross-border payments?

His 2024 outlook emphasized faster transactions and settlements, greater transparency, lower costs, stronger security, real-time payments, and interoperability. These are desired directions he identified, not a timetable or a forecast supported by measured evidence in the interview.

He also suggested blockchain could complement payment systems, including for digital identity verification or reducing currency-conversion costs. He explicitly cautioned that widespread adoption was uncertain and depended in part on regulatory frameworks catching up. The interview establishes this as his view, not as proof that blockchain will deliver those effects.

What growth plans and partnership example did the interview mention?

At the time of the October 2024 interview, Tarnopolskyi said Solidgate planned to expand alternative payment methods, improve fraud prevention using machine learning and AI, and explore collaborations. He cited Nova Post as a partnership intended to extend reach in Europe. The interview does not establish the partnership’s current status or subsequent results.

What should a business assess before choosing a cross-border payments provider?

The interview offers a description of Solidgate’s stated strategy, not a comparative evaluation. A business comparing providers can use the areas raised in the interview as practical due-diligence questions:

  • Which local payment methods and currencies are supported in the specific countries where you operate?
  • What acquiring and routing choices are available, and how are transactions assigned to them?
  • How do fraud screening, authentication, and retries work, and what reporting is available on their outcomes?
  • What regional compliance support is included, and what remains the merchant’s responsibility?
  • How quickly are funds settled, what fees and conversion costs apply, and how clearly are they disclosed?

Answers should be verified for the relevant markets and contract. The company’s public description and CEO interview do not, by themselves, establish coverage, terms, or performance for a particular merchant.
