Solar Cancellation Resource Center (SCRC) is a marketing and intake service, not a law firm. It says it can organize a homeowner’s information and, where appropriate, connect the matter with Consumer Advocacy Law Group (CALG), an independent law firm. BBB reviews are one signal about customer experience—not proof that SCRC or CALG can cancel a particular contract. Before paying or changing loan or lease payments, verify who would represent you, what the written engagement covers, and what your specific documents support.
What Solar Cancellation Resource Center does
SCRC describes itself as a marketing and intake service. It collects and organizes information about a homeowner’s solar financing or contract and may refer a qualifying matter to CALG. SCRC says it does not provide legal advice, decide whether a homeowner has a legal claim, or guarantee cancellation. Submitting information to SCRC does not itself create an attorney-client relationship; according to its disclosure, that relationship begins only if the homeowner signs a written engagement agreement with CALG. Fees and terms to confirm before signing

- Which attorney and law firm would handle the matter, and is the attorney authorized to practice in your state?
- Are you only providing information to SCRC, or are you signing a separate engagement with CALG? Which written agreement creates the attorney-client relationship?
- What is the total fee, what work does it include, and could any additional costs arise?
- What are the refund and termination terms if the firm declines the case or you end the engagement?
- Who will contact you, how often will you receive written updates, and can you get copies of letters and other work completed on your file?
- What can the attorney responsibly say about possible outcomes after reviewing your contract and evidence? Treat guarantees of cancellation or debt elimination with caution.
Can a solar contract be cancelled?
There is no general cancellation outcome established by a positive review or by submitting an intake form. Whether a homeowner has a legal option depends on the agreement, the facts surrounding the sale and financing, the timeline, the system’s performance, and the law in the relevant state. An attorney must assess the specific documents and circumstances.

Documents to gather for an attorney review
Organize copies of records that may help an attorney understand what was promised, what you agreed to, and what has happened since installation:
- The signed purchase contract, lease, loan, or power purchase agreement, plus amendments.
- Sales proposals, brochures, and production or savings estimates.
- Texts and emails with the salesperson or solar company.
- Signed disclosures and acknowledgments.
- Billing, utility, and system-performance records that relate to the problem.

How to evaluate SCRC for your situation
SCRC may be a route to an attorney review for some homeowners, but the available review and complaint records do not establish typical legal outcomes or independently verify the quality of representation. Confirm the attorney’s identity and state authorization through the relevant state bar, understand the scope and cost of the engagement, and do not treat intake acceptance as a promise that your contract can be cancelled.
