Snowflake moved into a larger Bellevue, Washington, office in May 2025, relocating to Block 6 in the city’s Spring District. The company said the move would support long-term growth of its Seattle-area engineering center. The announced lease covered more than 326,000 square feet, though King County records list different gross and net building-area figures.
Where is Snowflake’s new Bellevue office?
The office is in Block 6, an 11-story building in Bellevue’s Spring District. Snowflake’s earlier office was in downtown Bellevue; the new building was described in 2024 as about a 10-minute drive away. Snowflake currently identifies its Spring District location as an engineering hub, with teams working in database engineering, AI and machine learning, product experience, Horizon, data platform, and engineering systems. The company also lists amenities including a fitness center, cafeteria, wellness rooms, and outdoor work areas. Snowflake’s Bellevue careers page
Why did Snowflake move?
Snowflake said the larger site would support growth plans for its Seattle-area engineering center. Gjorgji Georgievski, the company’s director of engineering and Bellevue site lead, described it as a long-term decision: “With record growth plans for Bellevue set over the next 10-plus years, it’s time our space reflects our trajectory.” GeekWire reported the 2024 announcement.
At the time of that report, Snowflake had more than 650 employees in the Seattle area and more than 7,200 employees worldwide. Those are historical company headcounts reported in 2024; they do not establish how many people work at Block 6 or how many jobs the move created.

How large is the office?
The figures describe different things and should not be treated as interchangeable:
| Measure | Reported figure | Source and context |
|---|---|---|
| Lease area | More than 326,000 square feet | GeekWire’s 2024 report on Snowflake’s planned lease at Block 6. |
| Total building area | 273,049 square feet | King County Department of Assessments’ 2025 assessment-year report. |
| Net building area | 270,673 square feet | King County Department of Assessments’ 2025 assessment-year report. |
The county report describes Block 6 as a Class A office building subleased to Snowflake and notes tenant improvements were ongoing in its assessment context. The available records do not explain why the reported lease area exceeds the county’s total and net building-area figures, so the measurements cannot be reconciled from these sources alone.
