What “salary” means in this case
The Six Kings Slam was a six-player exhibition staged in Riyadh during Riyadh Season in October 2025, not an ATP-sanctioned tournament. In this context, “salary” is casual shorthand for an event participation payment and prize money. The reported $13.5 million total pot comprised the reported $1.5 million participation amount for each of six players and the $4.5 million champion’s bonus. Guinness World Records described the event as an exhibition and recorded Sinner’s $6 million payday as the largest single-event payout in men’s tennis history. Guinness World Records
Why the payments are not take-home earnings
The reports establish event-payment figures, not how much each player kept. They do not say whether the amounts account for taxes, agent fees, or other deductions, and they do not disclose the players’ contracts. It is therefore more accurate to call these reported event earnings than net salary or take-home pay.

How the event ended
Sinner retained his title by beating Alcaraz 6–2, 6–4 in the final on 18 October 2025. Alcaraz reached the final after beating Taylor Fritz, while Sinner defeated Djokovic in the semifinal. Djokovic then withdrew from the third-place playoff after losing the first set against Fritz. The six-player field also included Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas. BBC Sport
How to compare the money with ATP tournament prizes
The event’s payments should not be treated as ATP ranking earnings. Because the Six Kings Slam was an exhibition, its results did not affect ATP rankings or count in official head-to-head records. A comparison with a conventional tournament’s prize money is meaningful only if that difference in event status is made clear. BBC Sport; Guinness World Records
