A bullion reference rate is not a finished-item invoice. AIB notes that making charges and GST affect the final amount, while Gadgets 360 also lists TCS and other levies among possible additions. A 999-silver bar or coin price based on metal weight therefore should not be confused with a jeweller’s final quote for a finished item.

- Ask the jeweller for the live quote in your city and confirm the stated purity, especially whether it is 999 fine silver.
- Check the quote’s unit—per kilogram, 100 grams, 10 grams, or gram—and convert only after confirming that purity and rate basis match.
- Request an itemized final amount that separates the metal value from premiums, making charges, GST, TCS, or other applicable levies.
